Chapter 6

Travis' POV

I tried to calm my dad as he followed her to her room. Ruby closed and locked the door and I guarded it. I heard her moving some things around and her writing on paper. I heard my dad yelling in my face to move but I focused on her. I heard the window open and a thud on the side of the house.

Fearing the worst I kicked down the door and I saw her running towards the woods. I read the note that was on her bed as it said.

Dear Travis,

I'll be back in 2 days. I heard that man. I'm guessing he's your father. I'm sorry I caused this. I'm going back to my cave. I left a few things there anyway. Don't come for me. Get your dad use to the idea of me. I don't know what a rouge is but I guess they aren't good. I'm really sorry and I love you with all my heart. I'm sorry you had to hear/read it from me on paper but it's true. I'll see you in 2 days!

No... She's gone... My mates gone.

"YOU DID THIS! YOU CAUSED HER TO LEAVE!" I yelled at my father.

"SHE DOESNT BELONG HERE! SHES A FILTHY ROUGE!" My father yelled.

"SHES MY MATE AND I LOVE HER!" I yelled and punched my father in the nose.

I ran down the stairs and outside after my mate. I quickly shifted not caring about my clothes and I mind linked my mom.

"Control dad. Try and get him use to Ruby. I love her mom. She left because she heard what he said. I'm going after her." I cut off the link and focused on Ruby.

Ruby's POV

I finally reached cave and went inside. Placing my bag down and shifting into my human I decided to ask diamond why I had my clothes on again after I shifted back and Travis didn't.

'Because we aren't just a regular wolf shifter. We are a soul shifter. You can change into any animal you want. When we shift your clothing stays on. It doesn't rip like everyone else. I'll tell you more once your 18.' Diamond said and took a breath from her long speech.

'I'll be 18 in three months.' I said remembering my birthday.

"That's right child. I'll tell you more than.' Damond retreated in the back of my mind and I heard loud and pounding footsteps outside my cave. Paws.

I sighed and went out and Travis' wolf skidded to a stop.

He shifted and I handed him a pair of shorts. He put them on and hugged the life out of me.

"Can't.... Breath....." I said and Travis loosened his grip but didn't let me go.

"Never runaway from me again." He said. He sounded hurt and so vulnerable.

"I didn't run away from you. I ran away from your dad." I said sadly and I kissed his cheek gently.

"We will stay here. 2 days. Mom is trying to calm dad down." Travis said bringing me into my cave.

~3 Days Later~

We're on our way to Travis' pack house. We ended up staying an extra day because Travis' dad still hadn't warmed up to me but Travis said we could go back today.

We were in our wolf forms walking back slowly. Our sides pressed together. I was on his left and he was on my right.

We actually fully mated while we were there. I'm now officially apart of the pack. I'm the packs Luna.

"You okay?" Travis asked through mind-link. I also found out I can shift into other animals.

Diamond said she didn't wanna tell me right away because she wanted me to get use to my wolf form first. She said my wolf form is my strongest form. I also have another 'inner animal'. She's a lion and she's my second strongest form. Her name is Trixy. She's a black lion instead of a regular one and she's huge. Not as big as my wolf but close enough.

"I'm fine... Just a bit nervous I guess." I replied with a sigh. Travis nudged my gently and licked my ear. I leaned into him more and we continued walking.

~2 Hours Later~

We finally reached the pack house after walking. We would've gotten here sooner but we stopped for a good half hour- forty-five minutes.

I shifted to my human and had my clothes on. I was wearing a white belly shirt but it had strings going down all around me, high waisted Jean shorts and a pair of black converse.

While Travis went behind a tree to shift and change I pulled my hair into a ponytail.

"Ready?" Travis asked from behind me causing me to jump a little bit.

"Yeah... I think..." Travis took my hand in his and we walked into the house.

We walked into the living room and I silently hid behind Travis just a tiny bit.

Than I saw him.... He noticed our presence and his head snapped towards us... His eyes were black. He growled at me and I was terrified at what happen next....
