Chapter 2

Ruby's POV

I'm still following Travis through the woods. I still have the same clothes as I did 2 years ago besides my boots and jacket. My boots got to small but I kept them and I lost my jacket.

Soon we came to a huge ass mansion that looked to be like 5 stories high. I stopped dead in my tracks and stared at the mansion.

"Come on." I heard Travis chuckle and I kept following him.

The dark blue building with a white back door. The backyard was huge! Like 2 football fields but together huge! It had an amazing pool and... A TRAMPOLINE!

My childish self got the best of me and I took off running towards the trampoline. I heard Travis behind me probably thinking I was trying to run but once he saw me hop on the trampoline he laughed.

I started to bounce on the trampoline and I did a back flip.

"Wow..." I heard Travis whisper. I giggled and did a front flip.

I did a back hand spring and landed in the splits.

"That was amazing!" Travis said. I giggled and hopped off the trampoline.

"So... Why am I here exactly?" I asked.

"This is your new home." He said. I saw a bunch of kids run out the back door not noticing us until they almost banged into us.

"Sorry Alpha..." One of the kids said as they all bowed there heads.

"Alpha?" I asked him.

"I'll explain later." He whispered to me. "It's alright. Go play now kids." He smiled and some kids climbed on the big trampoline while others played tag.

Some woman came out the back door chatting and laughing. I looked and admired their beauty and suddenly felt insecure. I hid behind Travis and the ladies stopped talking and bowed to Travis except one lady.

"Hi Travis dear. Who's your friend?" The lady who didn't bow asked Travis who stepped out of the way to reveal me. I smiled shyly making the lady chuckle.

"Welcome sweetie." She gave me a hug and I tensed. After a moment I hugged her back. Something about her made me feel good.

"Mom!" Travis said and his eyes glazed over as did his moms. I stepped back wide eyed. What the hell?!

Their eyes returned to normal as Travis's mom gave me a sad look.

"My names Natasha. It's nice to meet." She said.

"Hi... I'm Ruby..." I said hesitantly.

"Okay well Ruby.... Let's go. I have to explain everything to you." Travis said gently grabbing my wrist and guiding me into the house. We went up so many stairs.

"This is amazing." I whispered.

"What is? The house. Yeah I guess." Travis said.

"No I mean the stairs." I said. Travis looked at me like I was crazy.

"What?! I've been living in the forest for 2 years. Stairs aren't exactly a thing around there you know." I said innocently. Travis chuckled deeply which sent shivers down my spine. He than led me to a bedroom.

Oh no.... Is he gonna rape me or something?! I started to panic as Travis sat on the king size bed and patted the spot next to him. I hesitantly sat down.

"So I guess this is the part where I explain. So basically...."

~•~ 2 Hours Later ~•~

"Wait... So your all werewolves... Your the Alpha which is basically like their ruler... I'm your mate and if I reject you you go through pain and if I accept you we live happily ever after?" I asked. Travis has spent the past 2 hours trying to explain all of this to me.

"Pretty much yeah." Travis said.

"And your all called a pack?" I asked.

"Yup."

"And there's over 500 of you?"

"Yup."

"And I'm supposed to rule by your side and be their so called Luna if I accept you?"

"Yup."

"And this isn't a dream?"

"Nope."

"I must be going crazy! 2 years in the woods and I'm finally gone crazy!" I said laughing nervously.

"Your not crazy. I know it's a lot to take it. Just think about it for a while."

"This is amazing. I've never had a decent house in 2 years. It was always sleeping in trees until I found my cave and it was a cold, hard bed." I said smiling like a complete idiot.

"You don't have to live like that anymore Ruby. Your room is the one across from this one. This ones mine. You can stay as long as you want. You can make your decision about me whenever. Take your time. You should get some rest though. You've had a long day." Travis smiled. He showed me to my room and told me he would be back in a second.

I sat down on the bed but got bored after 10 seconds so I decided to look around.

There was a queen sized bed, a beautiful light brown dresser, a black desk with a light blue chair, a walk-in closet and a personal bathroom. I walked into the bathroom and my jaw dropped.

A shower with see-through glass, a jacuzzi, a sink with a marble counter, and a toilet. I walked to the shower and turned it on to the side with the red sticker. I didn't turn it all the way, just a little bit. I put my hand under the running water and smiled at the warmth.

I heard my door open and Travis looked in at me. I was smiling like an idiot.

"You can go in you know. I can get you a towel. I got you a pair of pyjamas from my sister. You guys look the same size. There should be shampoo, conditioner and body wash in there already. I think it's all vanilla and a set of strawberry so which ever you prefer." Travis said laying the clothing on the counter.

I stared at him in awe. He was such a handsome and kind man. Travis looked at me and I looked away. I felt his eyes on me. I looked at him and again and took my hand out of the water wiping it on my pants. I slowly walked over and wrapped my arms around his neck pulling him into a hug. Travis hugged back and I think he.... sniffed me? I pulled away and looked at him.

"Did you just sniff me?" I asked cautiously.

"Uh... Sorry.... Wolf thing." Travis chuckles nervously and rubbed the back of his neck.

~5 minutes later~

"We have scents?" I asked.

"Yeah... Werewolves can smell better than humans. We can smell what other people smell like or smell things that are far away. You smell like... trees, water and vanilla. An amazing scent." Travis explained. He spent the last five minutes trying to explain to me why he was sniffing me.

"Oh.... Weird. Can I get a shower now?" I asked. The water was still running and steam had filled the room making it really warm. Travis nodded. He told me where to find a towel and left the room.

I closed and locked the bathroom door and I grabbed a towel from the closet and stripped. I got it and almost moaned at the amazing feeling of the warm water. This is the first time I've had warm water for 2 long years.

I picked up the vanilla shampoo since Travis said I smelled like vanilla I didn't wanna ruin that and rubbed it through my long hair. I grabbed the conditioner after finding out the shampoo and rubbed that through my hair. After rinsing that out I grabbed the body wash and rubbed it on my body. I stayed in the shower for an extra 10 minutes and noticed I was all wrinkly. I hopped out and wrapped my towel around me drying off.

After drying off my body and wrapped the towel around my hair and put on my clothes. The pyjamas fit perfectly and so did the other 'stuff'. I walked out while rubbing the towel around my hair. I walked out of my bedroom and across the hall to Travis'.

I knocked and waited for him to tell me to come in. He never so I quietly opened the door to see him in bed asleep.

I quietly backed away and closed he door. I went back to my room and put the towel neatly over the pillow.

I crawled in bed and fell asleep.
