When Nicky got back to his room that night Daniel was already there, piling his things into boxes. His books and notepads were already off the shelves and in boxes, ready to be moved. Scott came in as Nicky did, grabbed two of the boxes, and left immediately, not even acknowledging Nicky. Daniel shot Nicky a dirty look, but said nothing as he continued to pack in silence.

Sighing inwardly, Nicky went into the bathroom and locked the door. Daniel's things had already been cleared from the bathroom. Nicky turned on the shower and stepped under the hot water quickly, feeling the water relaxing him. He'd been feeling strained all day, wondering if he should tell Oliver and Kieran about Daniel. True, Daniel hadn't given him permission to tell anyone, let alone his pack-mates, but Daniel was a vampire. Nicky was supposed to hate him. His entire pack would expect him to hate Daniel, to try to make his life as miserable as possible. But Nicky didn't want to.

Nicky got out of the shower when the water finally began to run cold. Wrapping a towel around his waist, he went back into his bedroom, and saw Daniel lifting the last of his boxes off the desk.

"Daniel?" Daniel looked over at him, but didn't say anything. "The sketches of your family... do you have sketches because they can't be photographed?" Daniel nodded wordlessly. "Then... how were you captured on the webcam?" Daniel put the box down.

"It's rare, but occasionally a vampire is 'born' who can be captured on film. By cameras and the like. I'm one of them."

"Oh... alright. Does that mean you're stronger than other vampires?" Daniel shrugged.

"I am a little, I guess. I'm not met many other vampires, outside of my family. What about you? How come you can change when it's not a full moon?"

"I'm special too. When two werewolves have a baby together, that baby is special. He's likely to become pack alpha at some point, and he can change whenever he likes. If a werewolf and a human have a baby, the baby can change when he likes, but isn't going to rise very far up the pack hierarchy. If two humans have a baby, and that baby is bitten or scratched by a werewolf, the baby becomes a werewolf, but can only change on full moons. They're the lowest members of the pack. All werewolves, regardless of their position in the pack, changes on a full moon. The difference is, while I have control whenever I change, I don't on a full moon. I'm not me anymore. It's a much slower, and much more painful transition on a full moon."

"Which one are you? Two werewolves or a werewolf and a human?"

"Two werewolves. Oliver and Kieran are human/werewolf. That's why I'm alpha of our sub-pack."

"So, they have to listen to you?" Nicky nodded.

"But, if I tell them to do something, and our pack alpha Carlo asks them to do something different, they'll do what he says over what I say."

"Well, could you tell them something for me?" Daniel asked. Nicky nodded. "Just a friendly warning, which goes for you too. If they try anything, if they try to hurt me, or my family, I'll rip their throats out, alright?" Nicky nodded again.

"I might not be able to stop them," he said after a moment. "If Kieran finds out, he'll tell Carlo, who'll order the pack to hunt you all down. Even if I tell Ollie and Kieran to stop, they won't be able to. They'll be thrown out of the pack of they do. Werewolves need a pack." Daniel looked over at Nicky for a moment, before he picked up his last box and left Nicky alone.
