I've just woken up from probably the longest sleep I've had in weeks and usually when I'm out cold for a long time I tend to dream very vividly. Tonight was no exception. I managed to dream up an AU in which Maxwell is something of a hermit, living isolated in the middle of the forest with his bereaved niece Wendy, when one day four strangers come knocking at his door. It's Willow, Wigfrid, Wolfgang and Wickerbottom. They're out looking for a scientist who went missing from their town and so far they're the only ones who have any interest in finding him. Maxwell initially doesn't want to go out of fear of endangering Wendy but she pressures him to join and the two join the party, if you will. Might expand on the concept later but right now I'm kind of on a break to edit some fics and try not to burn myself out.
