I panicked when out of nowhere I was pulled to the kitchen and a big strong hand covered my mouth while another wrapped just around my shoulder.

I was certain my heart skipped a few beats. My brain automatically played tens of possible scenarios and none of it was remotely positive.

"Shhhh. It's me, Sam." I heard Sam's voice laced with fear and whispered behind me.

I was about to speak and remove the hands in my head when I heard voices outside. I felt Sam tense behind me, his hold became tighter and my instinct tells me to hold my breath and try my best not to make a sound.

"Where is the girl?!" A man yelled at someone and I heard footsteps just outside the kitchen going upstairs.

"Jango told us they were here with her Piano teacher." Another man answered.

"Then where the fuck are they?!" The first man yelled again and I hear a slap followed by a grunt.

"They must be somewhere in the house"

"Then fucking go and find them dead or alive! Just find them!"

I felt like my knees shake with fear when I heard what they just said. They are here to kill me. I heard a lot of footsteps all over the house. How can we escape here? Oh my god, we're going to die. I'm going to die.

"We're going to get out of here do you hear me?" Sam whispered again in my ear not letting me go. My tears start falling from my eyes and I felt myself trembling. Sam switched our position pushing me into the wall still not removing his hand from my mouth.

"Look at me."Sam is now facing me and I had to look up because he was too tall. He has sweat on his forehead and his grey eyes stared into mine. "I'm not going to let anything bad happen to you. Do you hear me?" He asked, his face held so much determination and I felt somehow relieved that I am not alone. I just nodded. "Good. I want you to run silently out of the back door. I'm going to be just right behind you. Run as fast as you can to the river, there is a bridge there and we need to cross that. Do you understand?" My fear froze me for a bit but I nodded. I trust him. "We need to go. Now." He released me and we run out of the kitchen backdoor.

I didn't look back, I run as fast as I can in the direction of the river. We used to go there with Mr. J. to catch some fish. I can hear someone running behind me and I know it is Sam.

We're almost on the bridge when I heard someone shout.

"Stop! Both of you stop or I'll shoot you!" I heard a very familiar voice.

"Mr. J?!" I can't believe he was behind this. He was our driver and my only friend. "Why are you doing this....?

"Don't take this personally Miss, I'm just doing my job." He said a gun still pointing at us.

"Who are you working for?" Sam asked stepping back and using his body to cover me. I was so scared, and confused and all I can do is hold Sam's hand. It was so cold yet I am shivering from sweat all over my body.

Mr. J. laughed. "Nice try piano boy." I stepped back pulling Sam with me onto the bridge. "Don't fucking move!"

I felt Sam's body tense but still spread his shoulders to cover me. I can't see the man as he walked closer to us.

When I heard footsteps and voices of the men inside the house earlier I panicked and made a wrong move. I run. "Stop!" I heard Mr. Jay yell before I heard a loud bang and felt arms around me. It happened so fast, the impact of a body slamming against my back made my trip, and fell out off the wooden bridge.

The arms were still around me when we fell into the water. I was so shocked that I didn't have time to take a deep breath.

The water flows violently as the rain just stopped an hour ago. I was too shocked to even realize that I have to swim back up, but I felt Sam's hand gripping my arm as he swam bringing me with him. I caught a glimpse of red color mixing in the water.

I felt pain when something hit my arm as we reached the water surprise. I heard gunshots as Sam held me shielding me from the bullets. "Sam.." I cried seeing him yell in pain. "No!"

His eyes were tight shut as we let the water carry us away from the gunman. The water became more violent and I felt Sam's weight beginning to increase. He's no longer holding me anymore and I know he's now unconscious. There is blood on his shoulder. "Sam! Please wake up!" I tried my best to shake him while letting go. It was hard keeping us from sinking and my arm is bleeding.

"Gina...." I heard Sam call out as I found a tree branch on the side of the river. I held on to it and found his weak gaze looking at me.

"I'm here, we have to swim out of the river."

"No, I can't...." I heard him mumbling between labored breaths, then that's when I saw blood drifting from his mouth.

I tried not to panic even more knowing that kind of amount of blood coming from someone's mouth means really bad.

"Sam come on!"I protested as I heard the branch make a cracking sound.

"You should go. Please find her.....Find my sister.." He didn't finish what he was about to say when the branch broke and we were carried by the rushing water again.

I held him not letting go. His eyes went wide when we saw that we are about to hit a big rock. "Find my sister!" I heard him shout before he pushed me away from the rock. I heard it, I heard the impact of his body hitting the rock.

"Sam!!!!!!" I screamed! but it was short-lived when I felt my head hit something before everything went black.

When I open my eyes, I found myself in a familiar room.

"Heyyyy...Thank God! You're finally awake."
