You sit in the front row of the Great Hall with your head hung low. The entire room is devoid of light, save that of the steely gray windows. Rows upon rows of long benches have been set up in place of the tables, and the banners that hang from the ceiling are a charcoal black. They have the word 'Diggory' on them, and a few silver stars.

Its the funeral for Cedric. That's what everyone is here for. Anyone who knew Cedric and more were invited, but the only people who could sit in the front row and be closest to his coffin were yourself, Draco for your comfort, the weeping Amos, and the teachers. But behind the coffin, Dumbledore speaks out to the dull crowd.

"Today we acknowledge a really terrible loss. Cedric Diggory was as you all know, exceptionally hard working, intricately fair minded, and most importantly a fierce fierce friend. I think therefore you have the right to know exactly how he died. You see, Cedric Diggory was murdered by Lord Voldemort. The ministry of magic does not wish me to tell you this. But not
to do so I think would be an insult to his memory. Now the pain we all feel at this dreadful loss reminds me, reminds us that while we may come from different places and speak in different tongues, our hearts beat as one. In light of recent events the bonds of friendship
we made this year will be more important than ever. Remember that and Cedric Diggory will not have died in vain, you remember that. And we'll celebrate a boy who was kind and honest and brave and true right to the very end."

You squeeze Dracos hand tighter as Amos lets out a loud sob. Dumbledore himself can no longer stand up in front of everyone, and goes to sit down as his voice cracked a few times when he was speaking. Dracos returns your tight grip as he sees the single, crystal tear slip down your cheek.

As everyone is leaving the funeral, you find that yourself and the headmaster are the last to walk out. He approaches you as you close the doors to the Great Hall.

"I put you in a terrible danger this year, (Y/N). I believe I must apologize. Not only for what you saw, but what you had to survive through. You have accomplished something great."

"And in the process lost a friend." Your voice echoes in the hallway, being that everyone has left to pack their bags. You then turn to Dumbledore, looking up at him to ask a burning question. "Professor....there was a moment in the graveyard where Voldemort and I's wand sort of....connected."

"Well, I suppose amother sceret must be told." He says, peering down at you. "Though your wand is made from the Leviathans tooth, it needed a powerful core. You werent told its core, were you?" You shake your head. "A pheonix feather. In fact, only three feathers were pulled from that bird, and each used as a different wands core. Yours. Voldemorts. And Harry's. But you saw your parents that night, didnt you?"

"Yes." You say, taking in all the information rather quickly. "As well as Harrys and Cedric."

"No spell can reawaken the dead (Y/N), I trust you know that. Dark and diffiult times lie ahead. Soon we must all face the choice between what is right what is easy. But remember this, you have friends here. You're not alone."

A few days later, you all wave wildly out what can be considered 'windows', only they are really just holes in the wall of the courtyard. The Beauxbatons are leaving, and the Durmstrangs are just about to. Only Viktor just had to kiss Hermione and ask her to write him. You watch in awe as the pegasi take off, pulling the carriage behind them. Not seconds later, the pirate ship sinks into the depths of the Black Lake, hopefully avoiding any merpeople.

You jump up into one of the holes in the courtyard wall. You swing back and forth in it, and Hermione, Ron, and Harry walk over to you.

"Do you think we'll ever have a quiet year at Hogwarts?" Ron asks, looking up at you as you sit  on the hole ledge. You shake your head, watching the pegasi as they grow further away.

"As long as Harry and I are here? No."

"Everything's going to change now, isnt it?" Hermione asks, but you dont respond as you look at the dark water far below.

"Yes." Harry states plainly as people gather their bags.

"Promise me you'll write this year, all of you." Hermione says, to which Ron rolls his eyes.

"I wont. You know I wont."

"Harry and (Y/N) will wont they?"

"Huh?" You ask, turning to look at the group. "Oh yeah, 'course. Ever week. You know what, Ill be right back...."

You hop down from your ledge, frantically looking around the courtyard. You spot the willow tree where Draco had been turned into a ferret, seeing a group of Slytherins huddled in it. Malfoy is among them, and you run over.

"Draco!" You call, just as you leap into his arms. He catches you immediately, dropping his bag.

"You know, I have other things to carry. More important things." You gasp flamboyantly, putting a (s/c) hand to your chest.

"There are more important things than me?"

"Well, me, for one." He says, smirking. You now roll your eyes, leaning up and placing a long lasting kiss on his sweet pale lips.

"You're really more important than me?" You ask, pouting fakely. Still, it gets out of him what you wanted.

"No, nothing is." With that, he leans down closer to you, holding you above the ground higher still. You feel like you are soaring as he kisses you passionately, the feeling that he brings burning ten times brighter than the dragon fire in your chest.
