Harper:
"That wasn't so bad.." I laid on his naked chest tracing patterns along his skin with my finger.
"Just what every guy likes to hear after sex." He said sarcastically. I felt his arms wrap around my bare waste as he pulled me close to him, lifting up my chin to look into my eyes. "You're sort of beautiful." He smirked.
For a moment I couldn't speak. He had literally in every sense of the word took my breath away. Before things got to sappy I snapped back to reality.
"Yeah and you sort of seem like a decent guy, which is why this probably wasn't a good idea... I'm bad news." I blinked trying my hardest to hold back tears of shame. Crying just wasn't my thing.
"You think I'm to good for you?" He looked surprised.
"Think?" I asked. "I know you are."
"There's a first." He whispered still staring into my eyes. "I don't consider myself an upstanding person Harper. I have kids that I barely get to see, a wife that I lie to... The only thing I've ever really been good at is music.. Without it I'm nothing."
"Be there for your kids.. Every child needs a father." It's the only response I could muster up.
He looked at me strange. "Did you have a father?"
I shook my head no. "I don't wanna talk about it." I yawned.
"You're tired, aren't you?"
"Mhmm." I groaned.
Before I fell into a deep sleep I could of sworn I heard him mumble "you're just a lost soul, eventually you'll find your way." But maybe it was just a dream...
