Chapter 14
David's pov
It's been a week since I lost my love, my life, my world.
The darkness made me leave her body there to rot with the rest of the body's.
The only good thing about is that when I came back to our room I found are baby girl in a basket made of sticks and leaves.
She's the most beautiful baby girl ever but then there’s always a dark side to a good one the darkness plans to have her and use her as a mate.
When I found this out I was so made I shifted and lunged for him but he knocked me out with a wave of a hand and because I did that I have to work for him. I follow him everywhere.
His abused the people manly young girls. The guards bring them to his bedroom so he can have his way. I've seen a few of them they come back with their clothes ripped and bruised up.
The darkness has turned out any hope we all had but for me I always have hope that something will happen.
I know my love will come back but them there's a part of me that knows she may not because darkness has taken over the kingdom.
The skies are always grey and black. The weather is always raining.
But then there’s the garden that the darkness can't enter. It's the garden my Elizabeth went to when she has to talk with her mother the goddess.
Now no one is allowed in that part of the castle because it's too holy for the darkness so he bans us from it.
Anyway what I'm doing now is I'm looking after my baby girl Sophia.
"Who's daddy's little girl" I ask tickling her, her giggle echo though the room.
I went over to the bed side where her milk bottle is and started to feed her.
As she finished the bottle the door opened with one of the darkness’s men walking in looking moody as ever.
"The king wants to see you now" he growled out then grabbed my arm well I had my daughter in the other.
As we walked through the castle I couldn't help but look what's been done to are home.
The pictures on walls have been set fire or scratched until it starts to peal. The floors are no longer white they are a dark grey almost black.
I look around to see dead flowers as well all over the place.
I was brought out of my thought by being shuffled into the throne room lucky catching myself before hurting my daughter.
I looked up to see the so called 'King' sitting on the chair with a few dead animals around him. He smiled when seeing me but smiled even bigger seeing my daughter.
I bring her close to my chest growling protectively.
"Oh no need to growl is there. She is my future mate and wife" he said laughing a little
I just contained to growl
"Take the baby for me" he said to someone in the room
I brought my daughter even closer to my chest. The man hit he on the head but I still would not let go. Then more people came over they look my arms. Then the man grabbed my baby. I trashed around desperate to have my child in my arms because she's all I have left.
"Please give her back" I said falling to my knees
The darkness laughed. As the man with my baby gave him her.
"Oh no I want some time with her as well. I mean come on daddy and daughter time she's had enough. It's time I had her for a little bit" he said then Sophia started crying and trashing around. The darkness kissed her forehead.
But it did not do anything. So he handed her back to the guard and motioned to give her back.
I snatched her from him calming her down, slowly rocking her that her mother should be doing.
"Okay so I called you here because you are my servant of many but you’re special. As well as I have had something done for you" he said and then some walked through the door with what looked like a paining but it was covered up
I frown looking at him, he just grins at me.
He makes a motion with his hand to have the cloth coving it removed he smiles. Seeing it or whatever it is.
"This is for you" he laughs turning around the painting I all but scream
I back up to the wall. Still looking, I lean over and throw up on the floor well dropping to my hands knees. I feel my hart aching. Tears running down my face, I bring my daughter to my chest crying silently.
In front of me is my mate, mother of my child, my future wife's dead body. A painting in detail all the blood, her with the fear in her eyes and the darkness standing over her. Well blood pours out of her chest.
"What do you think-" he paused looking back at it then at me again "it's a mater peace isn't it"
"You’re a monster" I sneer at him
He just grins wider
"Oh I know. This will be hung on the wall just at the front of the castle" he said
He looked like he was about to say something else but there was banging on the door. Someone opened it and open of his men dropping gasping for air
"What's the meaning of this" the darkness shouted causing Sophia to whimper and hide in my chest.
"You have to see this sir." he said the ran back out
Everyone followed him. He went to the front of the castle the opened the door wide so everyone could see.
We all looked around the sky was black but you could make out words that looked like another language on the ground.
It said 'Im 'tergum'
"Sir what does it say" someone asked the darkness
"It's Latin its means 'I'm back'" he said though clenched teeth
Before he could say anything a thunder storm started but the storm was getting worse then the ones before.
The wind picked up, the trees swayed, some falling to the ground. Then a clash of thunder made everyone jump apart from the darkness who looked angry but then the lightening came.
Lightening hit the ground again and again and again in the same spot.
With one last lighting hit. The ground shook, a white light started to grow where the lightening was.
A figure could be seen.
The darkness said the word that had me crying again
"She's here......"
