'Our Pace' [StrayKids; Hyunjin]

Ever since the day Hyunjin and I agreed on giving him a second chance to show his sincerity and how much he loves me. He's been treating me very nice, StrayKids don't really have a tight schedule like before since they're just promoting their song and have fansigns so he's able to meet me.

He's inviting me over to have dinner with his family at his house today. I'm not as nervous as the last time I went to his cousin's wedding. I hope his mom is not like how she used to be, because I'm not up for any more dramas with her.

"Hyunjin" I called him, we're now on his company's van to his house, Chan, Jisung are also riding on this van.

"Hmm?" He said back and stopped looking at his phone to look at me.

"I just want to make something clear" I said and sat straight up causing Jisung and Chan to bend over to the front curiously, Hyunjin stopped looking at his phone and also looked at me curiously as well.

"Well, I'm just, I mean, if the same situation happens again between me and your mom, I am sure I'm not going to be able to handle all the dramas that will happen" I told him.

"What does this mean?" Hyunjin and Chan both asked me at the same time.

"What she means is she's not going to keep fighting like how she used to, she's going to quit" Jisung explained it to them for her.

Indeed my bestfriend.

"Thank you Ji" I said and he smiled at me assuringly.

Chan let out a sigh and patted my head softly. Hyunjin held my hand and said

"This time I'm not going to let you handle with all the dramas and fight for anything, because I will do that, I'm going fight for us" he told me while holding my hand softly.

"You heard the man, Ji Yoo, he's never said anything like that before" Jisung told me while playing with his phone. I just smiled at Hyunjin.

We arrived at Hyunjin's house and I tried to calm myself down and told myself not to be nervous.

"Mom, Dad I'm here" Hyunjin called out loudly. There are a lot of pairs of shoes lying on the floor and.

"Ohhh you're here?? Come in honey I'm almost finishing cooking the food" His mom shouted. He held my hand and smiled at me, I did the same too.

He was about to guide me to the kitchen then a beautiful young girl approached us.

"Oh hey guys! Hi Ji Yoo! It's been a long time" She said and smiled at me.

"Haha yeah, it's been long, nice to see you again Yunsung" I smiled back at her.

"So me and your mom almost finished cooking" Yunsung said and grabbed onto Hyunjin's arm. Hyunjin just smiled back at her awkwardly and nodded his head.

"Mom!! Hyunjin brought a guest." She shouted to the woman who's busy cooking in the kitchen.

His mom came out and smiled widely at him, she smiled faintly at me and I also did my greeting.

"Yunsung ah, go prepare the table let's get the food ready since Hyunjin's already here" his mom said and went back to the kitchen.

"I'll go help her out" I told Hyunjin. "You sure? You don't have to you know." He told me.

"I have to, I'm happy to help her" I said and went straight to the kitchen.

"Is there anything I can help you with Mrs.Hwang?" I said politely.

"Ok, help me clean those vegetables and bring them to the table" Hyunjin's mom said. "Yes, Mrs. Hwang I will." i said politely.

"You can call me mom" The moment she said that I almost spilled all the vegetables I was washing. "Y-yes?" i answered stuttering super happy inside. I couldn't explain how happy I was.
