The cries of night
Slowly die
As the light
Escapes the eyeFading,
The voice complains
Helpless,
The soul remainsNow Forgotten by all
Unbegotten since smallA gift of life
Innocence anew
Becomes a rife
Frowned on by fewMoonless darkness,
The babe's refuge
Hides it's distress
As fears delugeNo home to go
No hope to know
No life to show
For the 'morrowWhat to do?
What to be?
None to love.
None to see.Future unknown
A story untold
Dwindles away
In the arms of the cold.Shadows watch,
People sleep
As this one, lost,
Makes one last cheepIt's ocean eyes
Shut since birth
It's ancient soul
Of untold worthWelcomed to one
Abandoned to die
Loved by none
It says goodbyeIt's body, lifeless
A quondam tale
One now childless
She hides and wails
