He didn't listen.
So he died.

Zhao Yunlan hates more than anything, those Dixinians who use their powers to subjugate the weak. They are currently chasing a guy who likes to make people hurt themselves and others by controlling their emotions, allowing them to act on their hatred for themselves and other people.
So far three women and two men have been attacked without provocation by close friends or family members and the SID team was called in when all the attackers suffered from acute memory loss. None of them even remembering being the aggressor or attacker.
Zhu Hong and Da Qing, who was scoping out an area on the outskirts of Long City where strange activities have been reported, spotted the guy running away and had given chase. ChangCheng and Old Chu who were closeby joined the pursuit, while Zhao YunLan got in on the action soon after, trying to catch the slippery guy.
The Dixinian's name was Xia Yi Ho and YunLan knew they weren't going to stop until they caught the asshole.

Zhu Hong ran through the trees lining the forest, her legs pumping and her heart rate tripling. She kept half an ear out for the sound of Da Qing's footfalls, faster than hers but still managing to keep in range because he's using his cat skills. She could just make out the outline of the guy up ahead before he dodged to the left suddenly, momentarily out of both her and Da Qing's sight. When she caught up to the tree he had ducked behind there was nobody in sight.
Breathing hard she looked around frantically, hoping to spot the guy again.
"Where the hell did he go?" Da Qing asked after looking around but she shook her head, both in the negative and frustration.
"Over here!"
It was ChangCheng and they took off like a shot to the left, hoping their teammate wasn't in too much trouble.

Zhao YunLan had branched off from the rest of his team who were chasing the guy. If his calculations were correct, based on the direction the Dixinian was running, then he would end up on the northern side of the forest because there was a thick copse of trees in the middle and on the right that would block his path. If he wasn't stopping to think, then he would just go around it. So Zhao YunLan quickly made his way to the cut off point and waited patiently for his prey to come to him, falling into his trap like a fly in a spider's web.

The other 4 members of the SID team had managed to catch up with each other. They all ran like their lives depended on it, not wanting this monster to hurt anyone else. He was picking up speed, moving farther away from them when a gunshot rent the air, causing everybody to slow to an almost stop. When the gang caught up to Xia Yi Ho, their chief had his special gun pointed in the Dixinian's face.
"Well, well, well...you must be the head of the SID, I presume. I've heard so much about you from my friends," the guy said with a smirk on his lips.
"Yeah? Did they also tell you you mess with people in my city and I'll make sure you end up back where you came from?" YunLan answered, voice levelled but menacing all the same.
Xia Yi Ho laughed.
"What do you find so funny?" Zhu Hong asked in contempt, her and the others circling the guy to block off his escape. He was exceptionally fast and they would have a hard time keeping up if he managed to slip away again.
