"Oh my god, Johnny. That was beautiful."
The brunette girl whispered amazed when her best friend finished his song, looking into her eyes, eagerly, yet afraid, waiting for her reaction.
"How come, that I never heard you singing before?"
"Well, I like to keep the famous life to myself. I don't need every girl in our school drooling over me." he chuckled deeply, giving Kenzie chills.
"Oh."
"What? Are you surprised? Do you see me from a different point of view now?" the emerald green eyed boy asked shyly, afraid of the girls answer.
"John, if you're afraid that I don't want to be friends anymore you don't have to worry. I would never leave you." she replied and took his cold hand in her warm one.
He shivered at the feeling of her warm skin against his. He nodded as a response, too choken up from her gentle touch to speak clearly.
"Are you alright?"
"Y-Yeah, I just never told anyone about this. Only my family knows, not even Hayden, Carson or Darius." he answered, his voice shaking a little.
The girl nodded understandingly, before she removed her hands from his, pulling him into a tight hug. Her hands wrapped around his neck and his arms wrapped around her waist. Still hugging each other, the dirty blonde sat down on the bed again, the girl straddling his lap as he did so.
He bit his bottom lip as he managed to surpress a groan, when she lowered herself onto the lower part of his body, not knowing what she was doing to his hormones. The brown eyed girl rested her head on his shoulder. With closed eyes, both of them enjoyed the moment of silence, honesty and love.
But they were best friends, so of course it was a friendship love, was it?
"Kenzie, why didn't you answer my tex- Oh!"
The tightly hugging pair turned around, eyes widened and hearts racing, when suddenly a red haired beauty burst through the door.
"Oh sorry, I didn't want to interrupt you two, uh sorry."
"No, Nadia- It's not what it looks like!" Mackenzie yelled after her, but the green eyed girl was already out the door.
The brunette turned her head back towards Johnny, looking at him in shock. When she realized that she was still sitting on his lap, she quickly got up and ran out the room, following Nadia.
"Nadia Turner! Don't you dare to leave this house before I can explain myself!" she screamed from upstairs, making the read head stop her movements.
"Get your ass up here, Turner!"
The red head turned around, walking back upstairs. When she passed Mackenzie, the brunette admired her freckles before she followed her back into the room, shutting the door behind her. Awkwardly, she greeted the boy when she sat down on a chair.
"I swear it was not what it looked like-" the brunette began but soon was cut off by the red head.
"Well, it looked like the two of you were making out."
"We weren't." The emeral green eyed boy shot at her, shaking his head.
"We were hugging and he sat down so I was practically forced to sit on his lap, not that I would mind." Mackenzie began rambling, her words dedicated to the freckled girl on the chair.
"Um, okay. Whatever you say." she giggled. "Now that I know why you didn't answer my texts, I wanted to ask if you're going to the party tonight?"
"What party?" The brunette and the dirty-blonde haired boy asked at the same time, laughing as they realized that they did.
"Annie is throwing a party tonight, didn't you get the tex- Oh wait, nevermind, I forgot you didn't read the texts since you were busy with Johnny here." the red head replied, pointing her index finger at Johnny.
"Sure. Let's go to that party. Let me text Annie that we are coming. Johnny are you coming with us?"
"I'll go with Darius, see you later girls." the emerald green eyed boy said and got up from the bed, leaving the girls alone, seeming to be in a rush.
