-Ryan POV-
I can't believe I did that to Kayla. Should I call her? No, that won't fix anything. Should I go back? Yeah, and let Chris go fucking crazy again? That'll make her want to be with me.
I sat silently at a gas station, just two miles from the venue Kayla was at. I grabbed my phone out of the passenger seat and unlocked it, dialing Kayla's number.
"Hey."
"Kayla I'm so sor-"
"This is Kayla, leave me a message and I'll get back to you as soon as I can!"
"Fuck!" I groaned, ending the call and throwing the phone back in the passenger seat.
I put the car into drive and pulled out of the gas station, preparing myself for the self loathing I'd feel all the way home.
-Kayla POV-
When I woke up, Angelo was still laying beside me, though he was already awake. I sat up slowly, my eyes sore from crying. I sighed.
"Good morning." Angelo said, sitting up the best he could in the small bunk.
I nodded at him before jumping out of the bunk, and he was close behind. I turned to face him.
"Thank you." I muttered, hugging him tightly.
"For what?" He chuckled.
"For not letting me be alone." I kissed his cheek before letting go of him, and he turned around and walked towards the front of the bus. I made my way slowly into the bathroom, where I changed into my favorite pair of ripped jeans and a Misfits shirt with tears and rips all down the sides. It was supposed to be really hot today.
I walked out of the bathroom and into the back lounge, picking up my cell phone to see the time, but stopping cold in my tracks when I unlocked it. I had a missed call, from Ryan. I knew he wouldn't be awake right now, it was only 10am, and he couldn't have gotten home before after midnight.
Stuffing the phone into the back pocket of my jeans, I walked out of the back lounge and towards the front of the bus, sitting down on the couch next to Ricky, avoiding eye contact with Chris.
I could feel Chris' eyes on me as I chatted with Ricky, though he didn't say anything. After a while, I got sick of it. I turned to face Chris, staring at him in what I knew was a look of hate, and cocking my head to the side.
We stared at each other for at least 30 minutes before he broke, looking down at his phone. I snorted, turning my attention back to Ricky, who had watched the whole thing with wide eyes.
"Are you two gonna hate each other for the rest of Warped?" Devin asked, who had also watched the whole thing.
"My hate doesn't end like Warped Tour does." I hissed at Chris, who looked at me with sadness in his eyes.
Chris sighed in frustration before storming into the back lounge. I pulled my feet up against my chest and rested my chin on my knees.
"This is stupid, Kayla." Ricky said.
"He made Ryan break up with me!" I shouted at him.
"He was only trying to protect you." Devin added.
"I don't need his help; I don't need or want help from any of you!"
I jumped off of the couch and ran towards the back lounge. It was time to face the bull head on. I stormed into the room and slammed the door, stopping when I saw Chris.
He looked up at me, and I saw a single tear on his cheek.
I'd made him cry. The man that gave me a place to fit in, who welcomed me into his home, and treated me like family. I'd made him cry.
"Oh, Chris." I whispered, all of the fury escaping my body.
He wiped his cheek quickly before dropping his head, letting out a shaky sigh. "I didn't mean to break you two up, Kayla."
I took a second of hesitation before moving to sit down on the couch next to him. I propped my chin on his shoulder and let out a sigh of my own.
"I know." I said quietly. "I overreacted. You were just looking out for me." I reached my hand around and grabbed on to his, intertwining our fingers together. He smiled.
"I didn't know Ryan cared so much about you."
"You'd think differently if you'd seen the way he just walked out." I muttered quietly.
He turned his head to face me.
"Get him back."
"Excuse me?" I felt my eyes grow wide.
"Get him to come back; You deserve someone that treats you well."
