Alayna's POV

I look over at my phone to see if I have the right address as I pull into the driveway. I step out of my car and go to approach the door. Before I knock I hear a crashing sound from inside.

I start to hear indistinct yelling coming from upstairs. I grab my phone immediately and try to call Elena. With no answer I try calling a few more times, but there's no answer. I begin to worry as the yells become silent and the crashing stops. The first person I think to call is Grayson since he has to be with Ethan.

Of course he doesn't answer my call. I try calling again until he finally answers.

Grayson POV
I feel my phone buzzing under my leg as I'm sitting on the couch beside Jessie. I choose to ignore it and enjoy the movie we're watching, but my phone keeps ringing. I finally choose to answer it to see its Alayna.

"What do you want, I'm in the middle of–" before I can finish my sentence she cuts me off. "I think somethings wrong at Elena's house."
"What are you talking about" I can hear panic in her voice with every word. "I'm hearing a lot of crashing and yelling I think something bad is happening, you need to come right away." I can tell her voice is sincere with worry. "Why didn't you call the police."
"I will once I get off the phone with you, but I know you two can make it here faster." I spot Ethan coming into the room. "Ok, you need to call the police, I'll be right there." I hang up the phone and go to approach Ethan. "Sorry I didn't mean to interrupt your date night but I was hungry."
"We need to get to Elena's house right now." Jessie shows panic in her eyes as she steps closer. "What's going on?"
"Alayna just called me, she thinks something bad is happening to Elena." Without saying anything Ethan rushes out the door, but I chase after him outside.
"Stay here with Jessie, it would be better if a lot of people didn't come." Before I can say another word he speeds off leaving Jessie and I outside alone. "Is she going to be ok, we need to go after him. What if something bad happened to her." Jessie's face starts to tear up and I embrace her into my arms. "It's going to be ok, it's probably better if we wait for Ethan to call, she'll be ok." She pulls tighter onto me and I just let her bury her face into my chest.

Elena's POV

I hear him throwing glass bottles at my door. I try to scream loud enough for someone to hear me. Anyone to help me, it's a matter of time before he gets in. It grows quiet as I hear him slowly go downstairs grabbing something. Before I know it he's back and he slams my door with what I know now a hammer. A hole forms in my door as my screams grow louder and my tears fall faster.

"I told you to not lock the door." He breaks the door just enough to unlock it and enters the room. He stands in my room holding a hammer hovering over me. This time feels different, I have never been this scared of him. I'm just hoping he doesn't do anything with the hammer.

"Please leave me alone, I'll do anything." He then drops the hammer grabbing me by shirt. "It's a little too late for that." He throws me, making me hit my back against the wall. I fall to the ground too scared to move. He approaches me and punches me in my stomach. I scream in pain waiting for someone to hear me. He grabs a bear piece of glass and makes a cut in my arm. A see a small smirk appear on his drunken face. I try to push him off but he's too strong and grabs ahold of me. "I'm begging you please stop!" Are the only words I can scream out as my voice fades into cry's. My arm covers with blood as I grab onto it. He backs away looking at me with an evil expression. Just before he can get back to me I see a hand pull him the other way and punch him in the face. Tim falls to the ground as the guy gets on top of him and continuously punching him. I realize that the guy is Ethan and try to say something but my voice is too gone to speak. Alayna comes into my view and runs over towards me. "Are you ok, I should've done something sooner, I'm so sorry." I see her begin to tear up. I can't get the energy to say anything as Tim pushes Ethan off of him and into the wall.

Tim begins to punch Ethan in the face. I get the remains of my energy and rush towards them. "Get off of him, please." I push Tim away with him barely being able to stand. I look over to Ethan having a couple bruises and scratches on his face. "I'm so sorry." Before I can say anything else my voice cuts out with tears. He looks up at me and i feel his thumb wipe the tears from my face. Before anyone else can say anything police sirens appear outside as policemen step inside the room.

The last thing I can see is them taking Tim away in handcuffs. I look over at my arm gushing blood as my vision grows blurry and I begin to fall to the ground.

"ELENA!" I hear Ethan scream as I lay on the ground. That's the last thing I hear before everything grows quiet. And everything in front of me goes black.
