"B!!" Veronica raced over to Betty when her and Jughead walked into Pop's door.
"Are you okay? In your text it sounded like something was wrong."
"What do you mean?"
"Your text said can you and Archie meet me and Jug at Pop's. It's urgent!!"
"Oh yeah, well...um..." Betty put her one arm on Jughead's back, and her other on her stomach.
"Wait. Archie isn't here yet, we should wait for him." Veronica said.
"Yeah we probably should." Veronica, Jughead, and Betty sat down at a booth and ordered four milkshakes. A couple minutes later Archie came rushing through the door. He sat down and kissed Veronica on the cheek. Then put his arm around her.
"Hey guys sorry I'm late. I was working on my car, and didn't see your text till a couple minutes ago."
"It's fine Archiekins. Betty and Jughead just got here, we ordered some milkshakes before you got here and that's all that has happened." Archie smiled at Veronica, and she kissed him on the cheek. Pop came by and set four milkshakes on the table.
"So? What's the big news?" Betty looked at Jughead and back at Veronica.
"You guys have to promise not to freak out." Veronica and Archie looked at each other then back at Betty questioningly. Veronica reached out and grabbed Betty's hand.
"It's okay B, you can tell us anything." Betty took a deep breath, and looked at Jughead. Jughead nodded at her and told her it was okay.
"Ok, here it goes. Jughead and I. Are pregnant!" Archie and Veronica's faces dropped.
"No, you guys are pranking us."
"No V, I swear this isn't a prank. I have the test right here." Betty handed Veronica the pregnancy test. She studied it, then handed it to Archie who studied it as well.
"So...this is...for real?" Archie asked Jughead.
"Yeah."
"Are you guys keeping it?" Asked Veronica.
"Well, we thought about, and we are. Jughead and I are going to raise it together."
"Oh my gosh! I can't believe this is actually happening! My best friend is having a baby." Veronica rubbed her thumb across Betty's knuckles and smiled at her.
"Are you guys sure you're ready for this, a baby is a huge responsibility." Archie asked Betty and Jughead.
"Yes. We are postive about this, and we know all the sacrifices that will have to be made, but we're ready. I'm moving in with Jughead soon and-"
"Wait what! You and Jughead are moving into together?" Veronica asked.
"Yeah, we want to experience this pregnancy together, and I want to move in with him before the baby comes."
"We understand if you guys don't support this decision, but it's happening. With or without your support." Jughead told his friends.
"Jughead, that's crazy talk. We are here to support you guys through anything. We will always be here to help. We can babysit whenever you want. Right Archiekins?"
"Yeah. Totally. We're in this together." Archie put his hand on top of Betty and Veronica's, and Jughead put his hand on top of the pile. The group all smiled at each other, and stayed like that for a while.
