The streaks of white revert back to individual stars as we come out of hyperspace. A Republic fleet, comprising of about five Valor-class cruisers come into view. Our escort cruisers and our adjoining Harrower-class dreadnought came out a few seconds after us.

"Raise the shields and withold starfighters," ordered Zai'ev.

"Enemy fighters have been launched," relayed an officer. Zai'ev nods.

Zai'ev presses a button on a nearby console.

"My lord," started Zai'ev. "We are in range to decimate a nearby Republic fleet. Awaiting your go ahead."

I walked over toward the viewport and looked toward the cannon. After a few minutes, a single bright dot could be seen; it was Serevrus's pod, enveloped in Force Lightning.

"The pod's shielding is holding against his lightning, good," remarked Zai'ev. "Target the center vessel and raise the firing flaps."

The Dark Eclipse maneuvers into position as Zai'ev presses the button again. "Cannon is ready to be fired my lord."

"Fighters closing," relayed an officer.

"It no longer matters," replied Zai'ev. I look toward the cannon as a streak of Force Lightning enters into the chamber.

"Energy rising," relayed another officer. "The lightning is rapidly making its way through the crystals."

"Chamber strength holding," relayed another officer.

Within seconds a massive beam exits the end of the cannon, streaking across space toward the Republic Fleet, jolts of Force Lightning bouncing off the beam, striking the incoming Republic fighters. The beam makes contact with the central Republic cruiser.

The command deck goes silent as we all look on, wondering what will happen next. The beam splits into remnants, striking surrounding cruisers with the same force as the initial beam. Each ship erupted violently.

The command deck is soon filled with joyous cheers and clapping. I look toward Zai'ev who had a rather relieved expression across his face.

"The very force of this cannon," I thought to myself. "No one stands a chance."

"Admiral!" called out an officer.

"What is it?" replied the Admiral.

"An incoming fleet is arriving," replied the officer. Another Republic fleet soon appeared near the remnants of the destroyed fleet.

"Prepare to withdraw," ordered Zai'ev. "We cannot risk the Dark Eclipse or the Shatter Cannon to receive any damage."

"Cipher," started the Admiral. "We must destroy them. We must not let anyone know of the weapon!"

"That may be the case, bu-" started Zai'ev when a hologram flickered to life on a nearby console.

"Admiral," started the hologram as it re-calibrated.

"Yes, my lord?" asked the Admiral. Serevrus looked rather exhausted from such a blast of energy.

"Maneuver the ship to destroy the enemy fleet," ordered Serevrus.

"With respect my lord, bu-" started Zai'ev.

"Do not question my authority," snapped Serevrus. "We must not leave any survivors."

"As you wish my lord," replied Zai'ev. Serevrus nods and disconnects the line.

"Begin the firing sequence again," ordered Zai'ev.
