Jugheads pov
We get back to Wyrm and the guys start cheering. "Jug got a girls digits" is what I hear. I just roll my eyes, unamused. I look at the time, it's around 7pm. I look through my phone and find Betty's contact. I stare at the goofy picture she took, it makes me smiles. About 7 minutes later I find myself texting her
<J: Still down for that Pops date?>
10 minutes later
<B: Always ;)>
<J: Great be there in 15?>
<B: Perfect.>
I say my goodbyes to the boys and I hop on my bike. I drive over to Pops. I park and walk inside, I look over a see a beautiful girl with blonde hair look at me. I walk over a sit down across from her.
{J} No ponytail?
She giggles
{B} I though I'd try something different.
He hair was straightened. I smile.
{J} You look amazing.
We sit and talk for what seems like hours, but in reality it's only been 30 minutes. We were talking as if we were old friends catching up on everything we missed. As our conversation continues I begin to get more curious and ask about the incident in the Blue and Gold. She sighs and her smiles is gone.
{J} I'm sorry, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to....
{B} It's okay Jug. Um so, I was talking to my boyfriend, Archie about you guys actually. He hates the Serpents and the Southside. But I really wanted to give you guys a chance. So when he found out I sighed up to tour, he wasn't too happy about it..he um... he-
Tears start to fall down her cheeks. I stand up and sit next to her on her side of the booth. I give her a hug.
{B} He hurts me Jughead...really bad.
Anger runs over me but I don't show it. All I could think about was how I want to kill that redhead imbecile. How could someone hurt such a precious angel. She squeezed me tighter.
{B} I'm really glad I gave you a chance. So far, your the only thing in my life that's saving it.
{J} What do you mean?
She stutters.
{B} Don't worry about...
She gives me a weak smile.
{J} What about your parents?
{B} My mothers just like Archie...,rude and abusive. My father and my sister left. And Veronica...turned on me, to hang out with the populars.
I sigh.
{J} Betty, you and Archie clearly don't have a good relationship. Maybe you should break it off...
She nods, knowing I was right.
{B} I will, but at the right time. I can't do it this week because he has a big game and I have to study.
I didn't believe her.
