Jughead's POV
I was helping the Serpents with a job when Betty called me. I assumed it was to pick her up, I declined the figuring maybe she could catch a ride. A little while longer, she called again, I declined. I was starting to feel really bad. And then about two hours later when I started to head back to the Wyrm, I get a call from the hospital. My stomached turned, I felt like I as going to puke. I answered, the phone. All I heard was, "This is St.Mary hospital, we have an Elizabeth Cooper here." I hung up the phone and turned my bike around and sped to the hospital. When I got there I walked straight inside and down a hallway, until I saw her name on the room door. I walked inside.
Betty's POV
I hear the door click and then Jughead walks in. I don't even bother to sit up, one because I was out of energy. And two because I was a little pissed at him. He practically runs over to my bedside. I pretend to be asleep. He looks at me then notices Veronica was sitting in the chair. He walks over and shakes her awake. I open my eyes again, but just so they don't notice. She jumps.
{V} Hey Jughead.
{J} What happened to Betty?
{V} She um, well..
{J} Veronica if you don't tell me what happened so help me-
{V} Okay! I'll tell you in the hallway, I don't wanna wake her, shes had a rough night.
They look over to me, then walk out the door.
Jughead's POV
I follow Veronica out to the hallway, we sit down on a bench.
{J} I want to know everything, starting from the beginning.
She sighs.
{V} I was in my living room chilling, when Archie knocks at my door. I answer and pushes himself inside. He grabbed a knife. He smashed my phone and tied me to a chair, he made me call Betty and invite him over. When she agreed, he kept me tied me to the chair, taped my mouth, and put me in closet. From then on I was just listening. When Betty arrived, he faked my voice and told her to come in. When she came inside and saw him, she freaked out. I think she tried to call you but he took away her phone. He told her that she owed him, herself. They struggled over something, possibly the knife-
She told me every little detail. She started to cry, I gave her a hug. I started to tear up, feeling 100 times worse for declining.
{V} Jughead. It was so bad. She had blood running down her legs, face, and arms. She had cuts all over her body-
{J} Please stop. I can't take anymore.
I stood up and walked back into the room. I grabbed her hand, but then she snatched it away. She was faking sleep.
{J} Betty I know your awake. Please don't be mad at me.
She flickered her eyes open, she looked at me angrily.
{B} "Don't be mad?" Jughead, you were too busy with the Serpents to even answer your own damn phone. How would you have felt if Archie would have killed me? I'm not sure you have time for a relationship
{J} What no. Look I'm so sorry Betty I just...I just..*sigh* I have no excuse. But I promise-
I grab her hand.
{J} I promise that I will never decline another call from you ever again. I am going to hunt that red head fucker down until I die.I really want us to be a thing, because I love you Betty Cooper.
She places her hand on top of mine.
{B} Help me sit up.
I do as I'm told. When she sits up she takes my arm and pulls me close to her. When I get close enough she pulls me even closer. She kisses me, and I melt into it.
{B} I love you too Jughead Jones.
She smiles and I was about to kiss her again. But we are interrupted by a, "aweeeeee." It was Veronica, she was standing in the doorway smirking. Me and Betty blush.
{V} Looks like Bughead is finally a thing, took you guys long enough.
She laughs, beginning to walk out the door.
{V} I'll leave you to it.
