"Jade said to dress casual right?" Perrie asked for the third time since Jesy and Leigh Anne had arrived at her apartment.
"Calm down Perrie," Leigh Anne said, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Jade did say dress casual, so don't wear pumps and a sequin dress and you'll be fine."
"So I should just wear sweatpants?" Perrie asked.
"No," Jesy replied exasperatedly.
"Maybe I should just call off the date," Perrie panicked, grabbing her phone.
"Perrie Louise Edwards you give me your phone this instant, you are not canceling," Leigh Anne said, holding out her hand.
Perrie stared at Leigh's outstretched fingers for a minute, then dejectedly put the phone into Leigh Anne's hand.
"Good girl," Leigh Anne said, handing the phone to Jesy before diving into Perrie's closet in search of an outfit.
"I think she should keep her natural curls, what do you think?" Jesy called.
"Maybe straighten the curls a little for waves, but I agree with you on the no straight hair thing," Leigh Anne called back.
"How about this?" Leigh Anne asked, emerging from the closet and holding up a tan furry coat and a pair of black jeans. "Pair this with your high tops and you'll look comfortable but fashionable at the same time."
"Thanks Leigh," Perrie said with relief, reaching for the clothes.
"Not yet Perrie," Leigh Anne tutted. "We still need to do hair and makeup."
45 minutes later found the three women sitting in Perrie's room, Perrie now fully dressed while Leigh Anne applied the final touches of makeup.
"And if your ears get cold, you can wear these," Leigh Anne said, handing a pair of black earmuffs to Perrie. "They go with the outfit, and its gonna be cold tonight, being October and everything."
Jesy chucked. "You thought of everything," she remarked.
"You helped," Leigh Anne replied, smoothing Perrie's hair behind her ear.
"Barely," Jesy muttered."I heard you!" Leigh Anne exclaimed in Perrie's face, making the blonde wince.
"Sorry Pez," Leigh Anne said, reaching to fix a smudge of makeup.
"I'm okay, really," Perrie replied, batting Leigh Anne hand away from her face. "Jade's going to be here any minute."
"Awwww Perrie's first date in over a year," Leigh Anne cooed.
"Stop it," Perrie mumbled, dodging another hand from Leigh Anne.
"Jeez Leigh, give the girl some breathing room," Jesy chuckled, pulling Leigh Anne back.
"I'm so proud of you Perrie," Leigh Anne gushed.
"Want to ring my mum?" Perrie mumbled. "You two can talk about how proud you both are over a nice cup of tea."
Leigh Anne just rolled her eyes, a small smile on her face.
"She's here!" Leigh Anne squealed as a knock reached the ears of all three women.
"Oh my god, I don't think I can do this," Perrie panicked, seriously considering canceling.
"You'll be fine," Jesy said, pushing Perrie toward the door.
