This chapter is about the ball/dance, and some stuff that happens afterwards, like Jade meeting Perrie's family-ish (since she met most of them in the previous chapter).

Is Perrie maybe going to meet Jade's family too? You never know

The picture above are the dresses that they're wearing and their hairstyles

Okay now that it's all settled settled let's go :)

"I think this is going to be my favorite dance ever," Perrie murmured to Jade. "Beautiful decorations, good food, and a beautiful girl on my arm. The night's certainly shaping up so far, if I do say so myself."

Jade blushed, tugging on the sleeve of her creamy white dress. "At least we look like we fit in," she said. "You look like a princess."

"I think you said that when I bought the dress," Perrie replied jokingly.

"I meant it," Jade replied softly. "You're gorgeous."

It was Perrie's turn to blush as they stepped onto the dance floor, ringed with white tables and bathed in a pale icy light.

"Your family really goes all out," Jade replied, looking at the constellations starring the ceiling. "And I just spotted Orion's Belt in the stars."

"They really did a good job decorating," Perrie agreed. "I'm starting to remember why I loved these annual balls when I was younger."

"You probably looked like a little princess," Jade smiled as Perrie took her coat and gave it to a butler at the door.

"Shall we dance?" Perrie asked.

"We shall," Jade giggled, taking Perrie's hand and allowing the blonde to lead her onto the dance floor.

"You know, I never knew your family had so many friends," Jade remarked. "The whole uptight judgemental vibe kind of threw it off."

Perrie laughed as they swayed to the music. "This is one of the biggest Christmas events of the year," she replied. "Basically the whole town is invited. Well, all of the rich people in the town and surrounding areas."

Jade snorted. "I can see why you left now," she said.

Perrie smiled, pressing a kiss to Jade's forehead before something bumped into her from behind. More like somebody.

"Ouch!" Perrie hissed, stumbling forward and crashing into Jade.

"Hey!" Jade snapped at the boy behind Perrie. "Watch where you're going!"

"Why don't you just move out of our way?" The boy shot back.

Perrie's eyes widened, and she turned slowly to face the boy.

"P-Perrie?" The boy gasped, the color draining from his face.

"Hello Alex," Perrie said lightly, no hint of emotion crossing her glittering eyes. "Long time no see."

Jade's mouth dropped open. This was Perrie's Alex, the same Alex who had dumped Perrie all that time ago?

"I see you moved on," Alex said, gesturing to Jade. "How many days did you wait before jumping on somebody else?"

Perrie stiffened, Jade reaching over and squeezing Perrie's hand gently. "Don't let him get to you." The brunette whispered soothingly.

"I waited for a very long time," Perrie finally said. "Have you moved on?"
