I'm just now finding these super cute Jerrie pics in the deep dark web and they're too cute like how have I not seen these before????

Anyways enjoy this chapter and sorry in advance if the clothing descriptions are awkward the only thing I dislike more than describing outfits is putting pictures of them in the chapters.

Yellow was definitely not Jade's color.

Perrie had insisted on Jade trying on yellow dress after yellow dress, the shades raging from a bright mustard color to a much more pale yellow. Either way, the dresses didn't hang right, or didn't make her eyes pop, no matter how much Perrie begged Jade to go to the Christmas dance wearing yellow.

"It's really more of a ball y'know," Perrie said casually from inside a changing room to Jade who was sitting outside the door on a bench.

"I figured that out," Jade chuckled.

"How does this look?" Perrie asked, stepping out of the changing room.

"You look like a princess," Jade gasped.

Perrie was wearing a pale blue a-line gown with capped sleeves, the lacy material flowing all the way to the floor.

"That's what I was hoping for," Perrie giggled, doing a twirl.

"How much is it?" Jade asked.

"It doesn't matter," Perrie said dismissively. "My mother said she'd pay for everything, and the two of us are going with her and her lady posse to get dolled up before the ball."

"This is so cool," Jade whispered in awe. "I never dreamed that I'd be going to a real ball."

"When I was younger they were the things I most looked forward to during the Christmas season," Perrie replied. "My family is as rich as royalty, and they live like it too."

"I gathered from the amount of diamonds your mother was wearing," Jade smiled.

"Your turn," Perrie grinned.

"I picked something out that wasn't yellow mind you," Jade said, brandishing a finger in Perrie's direction. She giggled when Perrie tried to bite it over exaggeratedly, quickly stepping into the changing room.

After about ten minutes, Perrie sighed. "Do you need any help?" She called, her voice dying in her throat as Jade stepped out of the changing room.

"You look like an angel," she whispered.

Jade was wearing a white long sleeved gown that flowed all the way to the floor. At first glance it seemed simple and fitted, but there was a triangle cut-out in the back, and the bottom of the gown and the neck sparkled with a faint golden pattern.

"We look so fancy," Jade giggled, extending a hand to Perrie, who took it with all the delicacy in the world.

"We do," Perrie grinned, twirling Jade around, gasping in surprise as the smaller girl hit the wall with a loud crash.

"Shit," they both whispered, rushing into their respective changing rooms just as an employee came around the corner.

"Everything okay?" The employee called. Jade poked her head out of the changing room and flashed her a thumbs up.

"Yeah, just tripped over my skirt," she replied. The employee nodded and walked away.

"You're an idiot," Perrie remarked, coming out of the changing room after she'd changed back into her normal clothes, the blue gown neatly folded and draped on her arm.

"Whatever," Jade replied dismissively, folding her dress and putting it over her shoulder. "Let's just go pay."

The paying process itself hadn't taken long, but given the length of the line they were standing in, Jade was positive they had at least spent an hour in the line alone.
