Crossing The Line
Thank you to the anon that suggested this!

You rubbed your hand over your face in a frustrated manner realizing that you were not going to get anywhere with Shawn if you kept on fighting like this.

You didn't even think what you mentioned to him would start a fight. But apparently Shawn was already in a bad mood and just decided to take it out on you, at least that's what it felt like to you. All you  asked him was to wash the dishes he had made, it was that simple. And somehow 15 minutes later you two were standing in the kitchen having a screaming match with each other.

"Shawn all I asked for you is to wash your damn dishes why is that so hard!?" you said trying to understand why he was making such a big deal out of it. "I don't want to. I'm tired from being in the studio all day and when I come home I just want to be able to relax and enjoy myself. Not have my girlfriend nag at  me about unwashed dishes" He said rolling his eyes at you.

"If you want it done, do it yourself" he said.

You let out a annoyed cry getting frustrated with the man child in front of you

"I'm tired Shawn, I worked an  8 hour shift and I came home  and clean this place up and cooked for us. Would it kill you to wash a dish once in a while just to help me out?" you said trying to explain yourself to the clueless man in front of you.

"I get that you're tried babe but so am I. Work has been killing me lately and I could really use your help around here" you said.

"Oh please [Y/N] you are at a dead end job and barely make a living.  You can't even compare the two" he said not being able to filter the words that were coming out of his mouth.

You felt your eyes widen at his words feeling a stinging sensation on your heart,  not realizing that's how he felt about it. He had been always supportive of you and your job, but not hearing what he said made you wonder if he always felt this way and just never mentioned it to you.

He stared at you with wide eyes his stupid brain finally registering what he said . You felt your eyes sting with tears, feeling a lump form in your throat. You opened your mouth to say something, to defend yourself but decided against it not wanting to bother with him at that moment.

"You can sleep on the fucking couch" you said with a cold tone glaring at him. You walked past him wanting to get yourself away from him.  Shawn noticed your eyes were pooled with tears when you passed by him making your way out of the kitchen.

He wanted to grab onto your arm and stop you but he held himself back not wanting to make everything worse than it already was. Shawn closed his eyes tilting his head back wanting to scream out in frustration.

He definitely didn't mean to say that to you, or blow up on you like that. But he had been so frustrated with work and the new album lately that he literally took out all his frustrations on you. He wanted to follow you into the bedroom and apologize but he knew you needed time to cool off.

He heard something plop down from behind him down the stairs and he turned around to notice you threw down his pillow and a blanket at him that he could sleep in. He let out a groan staring at the blanket and the pillow.

"I'm a fucking moron" he said to himself picking them up. He looked up the stairs but you were nowhere in sight and he heard the bedroom door slam shut making him scrunch up his face at the sound. Shawn knew he screwed up big time and you were pissed, and he knew you had every right to be.

Shawn had shed off his clothes and was only in his boxers laying on the couch with the blanket draped over him. His feet were hanging off from the side of the couch his tall frame not being able to fit on the couch.

He struggled to find a comfortable position to sleep in turning over from one side to another. He didn't feel right not having you beside him and hear your calm breathing to put him to sleep.

Minutes turned into an hours and no matter what he did he could not fall asleep. He needed you beside him. He wanted to crawl into bed with you, wrap his arms around you and hold you close to him.

He wanted to apologize to you over and over again but he was scared that you would just curse him out and kick him out of the room.

His heart broke at the thought of you alone in that room probably crying and it was his entire fault. He said screw it and pulled the blanket off his body getting up from the couch and made his way to the bedroom.

He stood in front of the door feeling nervous, he lifted his hand making a fist and knocking on the door gently hoping that you were still awake..
