I actually don't know how to swim. I should really learn though

"All set honey" Shawn says adjusting the small floaties on his daughters' short arms

She looks at him with an uneasy look on her face

"I don't want to daddy" she says with a pout

"Why not sweetie?" he questions kneeling down in front of her, pulling her hair in a tiny pony tail behind her head securing it with a small hair tie

"I'm scared" she says with a whimper looking up at him

"I'll be right by your side the whole time baby, daddy won't let anything happen to you. Okay?" he says giving her a reassuring smile

You watch from the pool as Shawn grabs her hand and they walk towards the side of the pool together. It's the kids pool and it only comes up to your waist. 

"I'm going to pass you off to mommy okay sweetie?" Shawn says grabbing her by the waist passing her to you and he gets in the pool himself

"This isn't so bad right?" you say splashing a little water on her little feet to get her used to the water

"No" she says quietly, but she still has a hesitant look on her face 

Shawn opens up his arms as she goes to him

"I'm going to put you into the wat-"

"NO!" your daughter screams out wrapping her arms around Shawn's neck in a death grip before he can lower her into the water

"Sweetie" Shawn says with a chuckle trying to untangle her arms from his neck and she won't budge

"No daddy! Don't let me go" she says with a whine

"Sweetie I won't let go of you I'll still hold onto your waist" he says trying to convince her

"Come on honey" you say rubbing her back gently to put her at ease

She nods her head slowly easing her hold on Shawn neck

"We'll go slow, I promise" Shawn says turning her so could hold her in the water with her tummy in the water

"That's not so bad now is it" you say with a laugh and splashing your hands in the water playfully

She cracks a smile doing the same but much faster and gets water on your face making you squeal

She laughs at the surprised look you have on your face

"Alright missy, I'll get you back for that later" you say and Shawn just laughs at you

"Now, just kick your legs as hard as you can for me" You says as she does what you says splashing her legs in the water

She lets out a delighted giggle feeling the water splashing around her legs

"You see sweetie I told you there was nothing to be scared of" Shawn says leaning down to kiss the top of her head

"Now watch mommy she is going to show you what you need to do with your arms" Shawn says with a smile happy to see her enjoying the lesson
