It was getting darker outside, but it was still enough daylight left.

"Where exactly are you taking us?" Vante asked looking at me curiously.

"I told you, you'll see," I smirked, "we're almost there."

The traffic light went green and we crossed the street. We walked to a park, there was a river running through it. Soon we were standing on a bridge.

"We're here," I said, made a gesture with my hands, "Tada!"
He laughed slightly.

"Very cute," he smiled, "It's beautiful here," he said as he was looking around the park. The water was perfectly glassy and the city lights shone across the river.

"It is. It's my favourite place in this city."

"I like it."

After we had walked around the park for a while, we sat down on a bench.

I rubbed my hands to get them warmer, because I had left my gloves at home and it was chilly outside.

"Are you cold?" he asked.

"Only my hands," I replied.

"Then let's get something warm to drink, it'll keep your hands warm," he said and got up.

I smiled and stood up.
He took off his gloves and gave these to me.
"Wear these until we get the warm drinks," he said and started to walk away.

I would be lying if I say I didn't blush. I put the gloves on and followed him.

We were standing in front of the coffee booth.
He asked:
"So what do you want to have?"

"Hmm I'll have a vanilla latte. But please, let me get it this time." I started to look for my wallet, but he stopped me.

"No, it's okay, I'll get it," he said with a warm smile and went to order.

Ahh he's so caring..

"Here you go!" He handed me my drink.

"Thank you, Vante! And thank you for lending me your gloves. Here, you can have these back now."

"Ah it's okay, keep these on," he said.

"Oh, okay then.."

We walked back to the bench and sat down.

"What did you get?" I asked to break the silence.

"Oh I got a hot cocoa. I'm not a big fan of coffee."

"Oh, really? Why is that?"

"I don't know, I just don't like the taste I guess," he took a sip from his drink.

"Oh, I see," I replied and drank my vanilla latte.
