Hello everyone! Thank you so much for the long wait, I know this chapter is long overdue. This is my last semester of college and I will be done in less than three weeks which meansssss I can start working on this book without any interruptions!
Also, I know the beginning chapters of this book might seem confusing and I am working on fleshing out the details but there are many things I need to set up for the plot.
Three years have passed, but nothing got any easier for our favorite wolves.
With that being said- ONWARD to the next chapter!!

"Try it again," I urged, patting Reese on the shoulder. He closed his eyes after he rolled them and concentrated on contacting Olympia.
"It's not working." He threw his hands out in front of him. "I told you, she was going to have her mind link blocked for the whole trip so she could concentrate."
"Well, then why isn't she answering her phone," I whined.
"She's probably training."
I pursed my lips. "How are you so much better today? Yesterday you were crying and babbling on about her teeny-tiny socks."
"She's going to be gone for another thirteen days and if I spend the rest of the time wallowing in self-pity and drinking the rest of the pack house, she's going to be pissed when she gets back. And I have other plans for when she gets back," He winked.
"Gross," I mumbled. "Can't you just try again?"
He stood up from the seat I had pushed him into and placed his hands on my shoulders patronizingly. "Sis, I'm going to say this one time, so really try to get it through that acorn you call a skull. Her mind link is blocked. You have to wait thirteen days to speak to her just like the rest of us do. I know this "Enforcer's mate" thing is important and all, but it doesn't allow you to bend time and space."
"If you don't get your hands off me in three seconds, I'm going to take Olympia's sock and shove it so far-"
"Why are we shoving things up Reese's behind?" Sloane asked, leaning in the doorway quizzically.
"Because he's a good-for-nothing, egotistical, ass who won't help me contact his mate even though the fate of the free world may depend on it."
"Wow," She whistled. "The fate of the free world? What's the matter with you, Reese? Do you want to see us all suffer?"
Reese groaned and walked out of the room, knowing he would never leave the conversation on top. He kissed his mother's cheek as she strolled in the room and took Reese's place on the extravagantly upholstered chair in the library. Her legs crossed naturally as she stared at me. I fought against the power of her gaze.
"Why do you need to contact Olympia so badly?"
"It's nothing," I brushed off, looking at my nails.
"The fate of the free world is how I heard it before," She mused.
"You shouldn't worry about it."
"Oh, darling," She giggled. "I don't worry; I plot. So, I want in on whatever it is you know. Things have been a bit stale around here lately and I need something to scheme about."
"Sloane, this is not a scheme," I told her. I wanted my honesty to saturate every word. "This is serious. Naima said something is coming."
"How very ominous of her," She smirked.
