I set my cold expression and walked to the kitchen without even bother to greet my mother who was sitting alone at the living room. I could feel her eyes shoot me killing daggers behind my back but I didn't care.

"It has been such a long time since we saw each other, Ms Chaeyoung," Yuri, one of my mother's maids who owns the same age as I do smiled at me and handed me my favourite ice-cream.

"Yeah.. it's almost 5 years and you still call me with that name. You only have to drop the word 'Miss' though. So stubborn hmm?" we chuckled playfully before I excused myself to officially meet my mother.

"What do you want from me?" I asked once I settled down on a couch, facing my mother.

"I heard that you had been gamed by a guy. Is it just a rumour or a true story?" her stoic face was getting darker by each word that she said.

"It's nothing for you to get your nose into. It's none of your business," I snickered as I flipped my hair once.

This old woman didn't ask anything for nothing. She only has interest to know about me when she had a hidden agenda behind it.

"Yeah.. sure. Keep acting like that while you can, dear. Chanwoo, take her to her room upstairs," she commanded before she casually took a newspaper and pretended to read it.

A well-built man approached me before he gestured for me to walk ahead of him. I wasn't a naive girl for him to expect me to walk voluntarily. I didn't move even a bit, showing my hard-headed attitude with high level of confidence.

"Chanwoo, you know exactly the right way  to do your job. Don't piss me off today," mother talked again in monotone.

Before I could react, two rough hands pick my whole body up into a bridal style. Shit! The heck is this?!

"Mother! What the fuck are you trying to do?!" I screeched as I struggled to break loose from the bodyguard's firm grips.

No answer.
No glance.
No respond.
It was only me, my screams, Chanwoo's footsteps and a pity stare from Yuri.

I'm an adult yet she treated me like I'm a kid. What a psychotic mother I have.
