She looked at the man in confusion, she must have misheard. The man had just met her, you couldn't possibly want to be betrothed to someone you know absolutely nothing about, especially if it were someone of her status.
But the man looked serious.
"Don't be ridiculous, I don't even know your name, nor do you know mine." She said, her eyes not leaving his.
He smiled.
"I don't see how that is an issue, my name is Jeon Jungkook, and yours is?"
"You don't need to know my name, and I couldn't care less what yours is."
"Just tell me what our fate is, I will pay you double." He said confidently.
"As you wish."
She gets up, getting another deck of cards from the shelf, before sitting back down and spreading out the cards equally.
"This time choose three."
Jungkook gives a slight nod, his fingers yet again danced over each individual card, he chose three and handed it over to the girl.
"Just as I suspected." She said sighing lightly.
"What?" Jungkook leaned forward, curiosity in his gaze.
"Our fates do not match, it will result in terrible consequences if we tried to intertwine them."
"Fates can change." He said.
"It is true, but I highly doubt this one will."
"Then I shall come everyday, I am sure you will fall for me one day, and that surely will change our fate." He said confidently in his hypothesis.
"Don't be ridiculous, I have no interests in such things. As you may already suspect I have better things to do than be in a relationship."
"What is more important than falling in love with me."
"Do you not know all things that 'fall' break, and I do not want to be broken. So if you will please excuse me I have other things to do." She said in a monotone.
