After what seemed like forever, but in reality was only a few minutes the food arrived.
"Pancakes? For dinner?" She asked looking at him in confusion, as the waiter placed the plate in front of her. The aroma was so sweet it made her mouth water. The plate of cucumber sticks were placed beside it.
"It is better than cucumber sticks, the pancakes here are the best thing I've ever tasted. I would eat them all day, however I do care for my health so I cannot do so. Just take a bite my love, you will not regret it."
She hesitantly picked up her fork, cutting into the stack of golden syrup coated pancakes, she placed a small amount of the contents into her mouth.
Jungkook was right, it was the utterly fantastic, nothing could make this taste any better. Her mother's cooking was beyond amazing, but sadly it seemed to be nothing compared to this. Sugary goodness exploded on her taste buds, surely enough to rot her teeth inside out if she were to have it everyday.
"Told you they are the best." Jungkook said grinning.
She nodded in agreement.
"Why it isn't my old friend Jeon Jungkook." A man said approaching their table, Jungkook got up as they both hugged each other in a brotherly greeting.
"A little birdie told me that my child has finally found himself a girl." The man said, wiggling his eyebrows.
"Do you purposefully forget that I am only a few years younger than you, you may be older, but it does not make me your child."
"This is not how I raised you." The man said pinching Jungkook's cheeks.
The girl started to laugh as their unique relationship unfolded before her.
"How can I be so rude." The man said, realising the girl's presence.
"And yet he claims to have raised me." Jungkook mutters under his breath, which the man clearly heard, but chose to ignore.
"I am Jin, the chef of this magnificent restaurant. Also dear friend and mother of this adorable boy." The man said, placing a kiss on her hand.
"Mother?" She asked confused.
"It is just a joke between me and my friends, my love. He has a big heart and always looks out for us, so we decided to give him the dear title of mother, but of course we regret it, since now he acts like he actually raised us and takes the title seriously." Jungkook says with a sigh.
Jin lets out a small gasp.
"How dare you insult me in front of such a beautiful lady." Jin said whacking Jungkook on the back of his head.
The girl couldn't help but laugh.
"So what is your name my dear?"
"She won't tell you, she hasn't even told me." Jungkook says.
"May I know your name?" Jin asks politely, ignoring Jungkook's statement.
"Yes."
"WHAT?!" Jungkook says, clearly shocked.
"But on one condition."
"Which is?" Jin asks.
"You must promise not to tell Jungkook."
"Whyyyyyyyyy?" Jungkook whines.
"I am fine with that." Jin replied grinning.
She smiles in response.
She walks to him, standing on her tip toes she whispers her name into his ear.
"That's a lovely name." Jin says smiling.
