4. A VERY HAPPENING MORNING.

I quickly shut my eyes again and turn around hoping that he didn't see me and more importantly didn't hear me practically claiming that I thoroughly enjoyed sniffing him.

A gasp escapes me as I hear a husky voice whisper into my ear, sending shivers down my spine. "Me."

"Huh?" I feel light headed, the spicy yet comforting scent completely engulfing me and controlling my senses.

I am brought out of my trance by Adam clearing his throat behind me. I slowly turn around and see him towering over me with his arms crossed, leaning casually on the locker. I feel my cheeks heat up at the proximity. I quickly step back only to crash into Ryan. Perfect. Just perfect.

I look down, biting my lower lip, wishing that the ground opens up and swallows me.

"Holy crap, is she actually blushing? I look up to see a blonde guy examining me, which in turn makes me even more embarrassed."A lass with  naturally tinted cheeks in the 21st century. Now that's a sight to behold." What on earth have I gotten myself into?

"Seriously mate, what did you do? She won't stop!" He interrogates Adam, completely amazed. I fidget with my fingers, feeling rather coy.

Adam looks at me, biting his lip to suppress a laugh. "Nothing. Candy here, loves the way I smell. That's all." He says cockily. This guy.

"No. I most certainly don't and my name is not Candy." Comes my instant reply as I glare at the jerk and pass his friend a small smile of acknowledgement.

" Oh, so is this your way to prompt me to ask for your name and number, Candy?" He raises his eyebrow, tempting me to put him in his place.

Oh my goodness. I have never once in my life met a more self loving and over confident guy than him. What does he even think of himself?

"You self obsessed pig. Have you ever seen yourself in the mirror? A combination of a face like that and an ego as big the earth is a women repellent. And for the last time. MY. NAME. IS. NOT. CANDY.

Adam runs his hand through his already messy brown hair while shaking his head at me. "Don't try to hide your true feelings behind those harsh words, Candy. The heart wants what it wants."

"Ahhhgggg" I groan in frustration. I want to pull my hair off. He really does know how to get on my nerves.

My attention is diverted by his friend laughing. He claps his hands and walks over to me, throwing his arm over my shoulders. " I think I just found a new best friend.Hi I am Josh." He extends his hand towards me. Taking his hand I reply, "Emma."

" You're literally the only sane girl I've met till date. You bet we're the only people who've seen his true colours. You have to meet Nate and Mason. We can start our own 'I hate Adam' club. Everybody else basically worships the land this potato walks on." He pants while pointing over to the two jocks not very far away, who I assume are Nate and Mason.

Wait-Oh my lord he used the word 'potato'. We definitely can become best friends now. Besides, I feel a lot more relaxed after coming here. I've been here for a good 15 minutes and no talk has been made about that article which makes me believe that none of them have read it yet. I tell Josh about my liking for the word and we instantly bond over our common interest: Roasting Adam.

He tells me about the bizarre things that girls have done to get his attention and all I do is gape. Pretend fainting? Act like they're in depression? Flaunt their bodies? Blackmail with a rumour? Purposely get bad grades so that he can become their tutor? I thought girls were smart.
