"Just put a movie on, I don't care which!" Maggie yells, leaning her head into Daniel's shoulder.
"But I do care!" Cameron shouted at Matthew, who was sitting on the floor in front of the tv, looking through their dvds. "None of Maggie's killy stabby movies." "Hey, Maggie has great taste in movies." Daniel replied, spraying cookie bits out of his mouth as he talked to Cam on the side of him.
"Say it, don't spray it." Cameron said, a look of absolute disgust on his face. Matthew laughed and threw an empty dvd box at Cameron as he brushed off bits of cookie off his shirt.
"I'm gonna go check in the cookies, okay." The three boys waved goodbye before going back to fighting over a movie.
The cookies still needed another five minutes to be ready so Maggie decided to wait for them in the kitchen, hoping that the boys would have a movie picked out by the time they were ready.
Maggie picked up her phone and frowned. Her phone lit up with notifications from fans and friends but not a single notification was from Dylan. It had only been about a whole 24 and more hours since she gave him her phone number but he still hadn't called. She had talked to Shelley earlier today and she told her that everyone was done for the day so why hasn't he called her?
Maybe she misread the vibes he was sending her? Was she too forward in giving him her number?
Before she could think anything else, Cameron walked in. "Hey, M we finally picked a movie, c'mon." Noticing the slight upset look on Maggie's face, he asked, "you okay?"
"What? Oh yeah, I'm fine." Cameron frowned at the very fake smile she had thrown on.
"He hasn't called yet?" Maggie had caught Cameron up on what had happened while they were drinking their starbucks hours prior.
If she was being completely honest, Cameron was probably her bestest friend; they told each other everything and were probably the closest pair out of the group, but maybe that's just because they were roommates.
"Nope."
"Hey, if he doesn't call, it's his loss." Cameron said and pulled her into his chest placing a hand on her head and another around her shoulders. Maggie wrapped her arms tightly across his torso with a sigh. "You're amazing, M."
"Thanks, Cam." They stayed there hugging until Maggie felt better. The cookies were burned when she finally took them out.
