***Karen's P.O.V***
So, it's been three days since the pool day and the prank. We decided to skip mini golf and just go to Magic Kingdom. That was going to be tomorrow. The main reason behind that was because Amanda, Alex, and Danielle got sick from being in the water in the winter. I'm actually surprised it was them three because Izzy and I seemed to attract illness like a magnet.
Danielle only had a slight cough now, so we made plans to go into Magic Kingdom tomorrow. This was my favorite of all four parks. The rides were just made for all ages and the park just seemed so magical with the different sections and Main Street and Cinderella's Castle. I just felt like a kid again when I was there.
I decided I was hungry, again, so I stood up from the sofa where I'd been sitting and went into the kitchen. The boys and their girlfriends had finally retired to their own cabins. I was beginning to think that they thought all thirteen of us shared one cabin. Not that I don't like having them with us. I LOVE them being here. It's just that, thirteen teenagers smushed inside a tiny cabin doesn't seem all that comfy.
Amanda was already in the kitchen preparing dinner when I came in for a snack. "Hey, Panda," I chirped.
"Hey, Winter," Amanda said, a little out of it. Well, of course she was out of it. She just called me Winter. I straightened up and looked at her.
"Amanda, I'm Karebear. Winter's taking a nap." Amanda looked at me, but I could tell she didn't really see me. If that made any sense. She shook her head to clear her thoughts and smiled apologetically at me.
"Sorry, Karebear. I was distracted."
"Distracted while cooking? That doesn't sound smart," I mumbled and Amanda chuckled.
"Don't worry, I didn't try and cook the bacon in the microwave this time," she told me with a smirk.
I grabbed an apple from the fridge and sat down at the table, resting my feet on a spare chair. "So, why're you distracted?"
"No reason," she said, but I could tell she was lying. Her actions said it all; the way she avoided eye contact, the way she was stirring the contents of the bowl only to keep her hands busy.
"Amanda, remember the time when we were going to our eighth grade prom and I made Izzy carry my powder around in her purse because I wanted to have it by me at all times?" She nodded, so I continued. "Then, when we were at McDonald's after prom, I asked her for it and she gave it to me, but I noticed that it was used. I asked who used it and then gave everyone my x-ray look until Lauren finally confessed."
"Karen, what's the point to this?" Amanda asked, exasperadely.
I sighed. "I can tell when people are lying, Amanda, And you just lied. So, why're you distracted? You can tell me, you know."
She scrunched up her nose, clearly hating the fact that I saw straight through her lie. "It's nothing, Karen. Really. Just a little issue that I can handle. No need to worry."
"No, tell me."
Amanda sighed. "Fine." I blinked, shocked. Amanda was usually stubborn about this kind of stuff. She must really need someone to talk to. "When Zayn and I kissed a few days ago, I felt something. And then that night, I couldn't stop thinking about him. Karen, I think I'm falling for Zayn," Amanda told me in a voice that was very close to a whisper.
I just nodded my head. Amanda's dated before. She's held a boys' hand. She's kissed boys before. She's gotten presents from a boy before. And she told me all about it. But never once through all those boyfriends has she ever told me that she was falling for one of them. Zayn was different.
