Is this Love or Hate?

Chapter 12

~ Memory ~

June 4th

Cody and I were hanging out at the park together like always. We just finished our ice cream and we decided to just walk around. We came across this small path that leads to a meadow of daisies.It was really pretty.

" Cody this place is beautiful" I say twirling in the flowers.

" It is" He says grabbing my hands. " Care to dance wit me?"

" I'd love to." I say. We twirl around in the silence capturing the moment. I rest my head just below his shoulder and he leans his cheek on my head.

" I want to get married here, in this meadow" I tell him.

" Okay I promise you this will be our wedding spot." He says

" I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Because I love you Cody." I say

He moves his head and our eyes lock. " Me too Beth" He says as he leans down and captures me in a kiss. A long kiss that sends sparks flying.

Once were done in the meadow we start walking back to his house. I started crossing the street when suddenly a truck turned the corner and started speeding down the road towards me. At fist I didn't notice it. But then Cody screamed, " Beth look out!" And then I felt a hard push that sent me far to the side and on the ground.

Next was a the sound of breaks and a car hitting something hard. I turn to see Cody on the floor with blood all around him. I run to his side.

" Cody! Cody Speak to me! Cody please don't die!" I say through tears

He opens his eyes to me and says,

" Beth I love you and will forever love you. "

" I know i love you too. Your gonna be okay." I say tears blurring my vision

" i love you Beth so much. I love you."

" Why? Why did you push me out of the way? You could have let me get hit." I say

" Because Beth remember I promised you I would Always protect you and never let you get hurt. Because I love you."

" Cody I love you. Don't go your gonna be okay. Just stay. You promised me you would marry me. You need to stay, We need each other we need to grow up and get married and have kids and spend the rest of our life's together remember. You promised forever. You promised you would stay with me forever. Don't go Cody I love you! I need you Cody." i say choking through tears.

 " Beth I want you to know that I will never stop loving you and one day youll find someone that you can marrie in the meadow and have kids with. I will always be watching you. And I want you to know that I love you more than anything, dont forget that."

" I love you too. But don't say that because your gonna be fine." I say but then his eyes close.

" No Cody wake up! Cody don't leave me! Please I love you!" I cry " Someone call an ambulance please I need help! Cody don't go please." I say holding him in my arms rocking back and forth crying.

" Cody!" I scream with tears.

For once in my life something good happened to me. And It was ripped away all to soon. He promised me forever but that was shortened. I loved him more than anything and life had to take him away.

~ End of memory ~

But as they say for everything good that falls apart something better fall together and that's when Ash came in.

I explain to Ash as good as I can as to who Cody was.

" Its just I heard you saying his name in your sleep and that one time you screamed at your house. Now I understand why you didn't want a relationship. This actually explains a lot. I'm really sorry." Ash says a bit nervously.

" Thank you for understanding. But Ash?"

" Yeah?"

" I love you" I say smiling

" I love you too."

" You know my birthday is tomorrow." I say

" Then I shall take you out" He says

" I'd love that" I say
