After three days of not talking to Nick, I hadn't received any hate messages, which is great and all but I have never felt so alone. Unfortunately, it was Thursday and he was moving back to my town, today. Mum gave me the day off because she thought we were still friends and she wanted me to help him unpack. I blocked him from both my mobile phone and my home phone so he can't keep in contact. Its bad enough I have to see him at school, let alone have him in my house. I hate him. But I still love him. Why are feelings so complicated? Putting on my favourite comedy movie. I put the fan on the fastest mode and I grabbed a blanket. As I settled down there was a knock at the door. Getting up I groaned, walking to the door I opened it.
"Hello?" I spoke awkwardly.
"Hey, I've been trying to get in contact with you." He spoke throwing me into his arms. Pushing him off me I yelled. "What do you want."
Looking surprised he replied, "I'm here to see my best friend in the entire world, are you having guests over?"
"No. why are you here? Last time I checked we weren't friends."
Looking hurt he whispered, "What are you on about? Of course we are friends." Bursting into tears I said "What has changed your mind. You know what you did, you sent me the worst message I... uh anyone could ever receive!"
"What? What text message did I supposably send you?" Looking into his eyes, I knew he was confused. Sighing I invited him in. Sitting on the couch I showed him the text. "That's not from me... believe me... when I dumped my girlfriend she must of sent it to you."
Nodding, I whispered "Okay, in order for me to forgive you, you have to promise me something."
"Anything."
"You have to ignore me at school, you can't look at me. Don't tell anyone you know me. Don't talk to me... we only know each other outside of school. Its for your own good. Just trust me."
"Why? Are you embarrassed of me?" he joked.
"God no! Just... you'll just have to trust me on this one." 'its probably the other way around.' I thought.

On the first day of school, Nick and I walked along the path to school together, and as soon as we were near the tall, brass, front gates, I said "bye" and I bolted. After three classes it was lunch time and I spotted the sweetest, most caring boy ever, Nick, walking with Tim, Eloise and Michelle, the most popular kids in the school, and my tormenters. He smiled at me, and headed to the populars table. Sitting by myself, I spotted Nick staring at me, while talking to his 'mates', I glared at him and then I got up and headed up to go to the library.
NICK
Smiling at Abi, I followed my new friends Michelle, Eloise and Patrick, to their table. During lunch I noticed they were talking about some loser, I laughed along until I found out who they were talking about... trying to ignore them I stared at Ab, she was sitting by herself, if she had no friends here why wouldn't she want me to sit at her table with her? "Why are you staring at the loser?" A guy asked me. Replying I asked, "Who?" Laughing my new mate Tim replied, "Abigail, she is such a nerd. Last month I beat her to a pulp!" The whole table laughed. That'd be why she wanted me to sit away from her, she wanted to protect me so I wouldn't be classed as a loser like her. "Guys, leave her alone. She's not even here." Said Michelle.
After school, I meet Abi at the park. "So, why didn't you tell me about Tim and Eloise, bullying you?"
"Because. I wanted you to make friends yourself, and not have my biased opinion. besides they'd just tease me more if I told you to sit with someone else. When we get home, sit on the couch... im dying for a pee."
"Too much information, Abi." grinning she laughed. As we went to her house she ran to use the toilet, dumping her mobile phone on the table. It vibrated as soon as I sat down. I picked it up, quickly unlocking it. I decided to go through her phone, if she didn't want me to see it, I wouldn't have or know her password. What I saw, angered me. I saw at least a thousand texts from hundreds of different people. Reading them, broke my heart. As she came out of the bathroom.
"What are you doing on my phone?" She asked turning red with anger.
I placed her phone on the table and I interrogated her.
"Never mind that! What is this? Why didn't you tell me! I thought we were friends. Is this why you don't want people to know we are friends at school?"
"Yes, I didn't know how to tell you. To be honest I thought you wouldn't of cared. And you need to keep up the act, bully me if you have to... beat me up. I just don't want to be the reason you get hate. Please. Being popular is your life. I'm sorry but I wont be the reason for you not being who you want. I couldn't stand knowing that I am the reason for you being upset. Bullying is not nice. let me tell you that. "
"Okay. But I wont let them hurt you, okay? From now on you have to tell me anything that happens, okay. If I find out you haven't you will regret it, okay."
"Okay. Deal, as long as you don't tell any one you know me."
Sighing I, agree.
ABIGAIL
The next day at school, Nick found out that a disco was being held on Friday. it was a week away. On the way home he asked me, "Hey, dude?"
"Yeah, Nicky?" I sighed.
"Can I have your help?" He whined.
"Sure... wait... with what this time?" I looked at him.
"I like this girl and I want to ask her to the disco. Can you help me?"
"Sure. Who is it?" I asked crossing my fingers and toes.
"Michelle Lambert." No. God No. Any one but her.
"Uh, sure."
"What's wrong? You just got really pale."
"Nothing. I just got an idea. On Monday write her a love note, saying something like, 'Roses are red, Violets are blue, meeting you was like fate, will you go to the disco as my date.' girls love that mushy stuff. Then attach it to a bouquet of flowers. Go to her locker, give her the flowers and recite the poem."
"Thanks Dude, you're the best. Bye." He said as he ran off.
"No worries. dude. Thanks for ruining my weekend by the way." My weekend mostly consisted of reading, "TO KILL A MOCKING BIRD, by Harper Lee.
On Monday, I was standing by my locker, when a note fell out. "Roses are red, violets are blue..."
