The girls snuck passed her Rachel's house and made it to the house next door. They had a hard time getting to the porch because there was a barbed wired fence around the house. Rachel had an idea. They could dig a tunnel under the fence. It was risky because there could be something under the ground that could shock or hurt them. Another possibility is if they don't dig the hole deep enough and long enough the could get electrocuted and or cut badly. It was worth it to Rachel and Laura. But to tabby, she just wanted to go home.
Well they finally got under the fence and started to walk to the front door but they had to get up the old, wooden, broken, creaky stairs with making noise. If they make noise they could wake up the neighbors and draw attention to them and the house and get busted. If that happens, they would be in a lot of trouble. So Rachel said if they wake up neighbors to run and hide in the bush on the side of the house. Then when Rachel was almost at the top Laura saw a light come down the street........
