"No!" Elsa yelled in defiance of her father. She couldn't believe what she was hearing! It was outrageous! Completely unfair!
"I'm sorry Elsa but... There's no other choice!" Her father said, stuttering with guilt. He stomped his foot as he finished his sentence, desperately trying to hide his emotions.
"I can't marry him, dad! Especially not him!" Elsa pleaded, with a little bit of disgust in her voice as she thought of the man she was supposed to be married to.
"Elsa there's no other choice, I've told you! You need to go through with this marriage to keep peace among the kingdoms! To fulfill your purpose as queen for when I step down! So that you'll finally be acc-" He stopped himself before he could spill a major plot point to not only Elsa but to you as well. He looked down in shame.
Elsa had no chance to dwell on his suspicious mention of what sounded to be "acceptance" at the end of his sentence, and was overwhelmed with emotions. She then fell down into her bed with tears filling her eyes. She crossed her arms as she wept. The room became colder.
"I'm sure mother wouldn't force me to marry that repulsive man..." She mumbled under her breath. She then looked at the reaction on her fathers face, now filled with shock and guilt.
"I- I'm sorry... I didn't mean to-" Elsa tried to apologize for her comment, realizing that it was a sensitive subject for her father; for both of them actually, as she was practically the only thing keeping the family together. When she passed away, things just seemed to deteriorate.
"No, it's fine. I understand this is tough." Her father assured. "But..."
He tried to step closer to Elsa, slowly approaching with caution as he knew would she could do in this emotional state. He gulped, and softly spoke.
"This wedding... There's no other way. It's scheduled for two days from now, and your bride is arriving tomorrow. You can meet him then, and he might not be so bad!" Elsa just looked disgusted.
"I'm not going to marry him! I don't care what kind of king he is, or if he's this conqueror, I'm not going to marry him to appease you, or anybody else! I should have the right to marry whoever, maybe if you didn't stick me in this room for all my life I would already have someone in mind!" She exploded with anger, tears continuing to roll down her cheeks as she yelled at her father.
"I'm sorry." Her father said, extending an arm around to her shoulder to try and comfort his distraught daughter.
"Get away from me!" She cried out, shoving him away. Her hand suddenly turned icy blue as she pushed her father away by his shoulder. Suddenly his whole arm started to turn icy white, and blue.
"M-My arm... I- I can't feel it!" He said, stuttering as cold swept through him, the feeling in his arm gone. Attempting to bend it was pointless, as his whole arm felt as if a big, inanimate block of ice was hanging off his shoulder.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry!" Elsa yelled, putting out her arms. "I'm so sorry! What have I done?"
The door suddenly swung open, a guard wielding a crossbow stormed in to see the king desperately holding onto his other shoulder. His hand was completely blue and stiff. His attention turned to Elsa, snowflakes dripping from her white hands.
"S-She's one of them..." The guard said with utter shock, his jaw dropping in the process.
"No, she's not!" Her father yelled. "It's just a misunderstanding!"
Elsa stood there, now confused on what the guard was on about whilst still dreading over herself over what she had done. Suddenly, the guard lifted up his crossbow and aimed it at Elsa. Instinctively, Elsa stuck out her hands and a collection of cold snow shot out of them at the crossbow, freezing it solid. The guard dropped it as the cold became unbearable, he could no longer hold it as the cold, icy feel of the crossbow even managed to go through his thin gloves.
