Can sighed then straightened his back. He walked slowly towards their table. He erased any trace of hurt on his face and told himself to chin up and man up.

He overheard Tin making introductions. And paused for a while when Can sat down.

"And this is.... Cantaloupe." Tin said giving Can a
brief glance then turned back to the her.

"Guys. This is Cheng my---"

"Nice to meet you all." The woman said and gave them a smile.

Techno is still frowning hard that he almost ask that woman what the hell is she doing here but seems like Kengkla can read his mind and put his hands on his thigh gently patting it. Techno faced him and Kengkla just shook his head and mouthed 'Not now.'

"Your name is Cantaloupe? As in like the fruit?" Cheng asked Can.

Can didn't know if she is mocking him or what because her face shows nothing but genuine curiosity.

"Yes." He answered briefly.

"Oh. Cool." She smiled at him.

"Sorry for coming suddenly. I called Tin and I just missed him and asked if I can drop by." She looked at them apologetically then turned to Tin and winked. Tin just smiled at Cheng's antics.

Type is just watching Can. How he put on a smile but there's pain in his eyes. How he bowed his head when Tin and Cheng talked as if they have their own world. He wanted to ask Tin what is happening but then decided to just shut up and watch for now. And promising himself that if worst comes to worst and Can got hurt because Tin's doing, he may not like what he's going to do. His actions obviously shows that he still loves Tin, and he didn't know if Tin is really oblivious about this or he is just being a plain stupid.

Yes, he understand Tin. Through the years that they know him, they have witnessed how he became a mess when Can left. They know the story behind them though it's only Tin's side that they know because they haven't got the chance to ask Can. But then he knows Can, he knows him better than he knows Tin. He is sure that Can didn't really mean to hurt Tin just like that. But he is also certain that Tin, just like Can, still have feelings with the latter. The mouth can tell a lie but your eyes can't. That's why he can't understand Tin's behavior. He has an idea though, and how he wished that Tin really knows what he was doing.

Pete on the other side is just staring at Cheng with one eyebrow lifted and arms crossed on his chest. He didn't even bother to smile because he wants to show them that he is annoyed. This is a reunion between their circle of friends and she's not welcome here! Yes. She's beautiful plus she also looks intelligent but that stops there. She is just a peck of dust compared to Can. Like duh, look at Can. He's already 24 and yet he looks like he's just 18! He looks so adorable and so squishy especially when he's pouting that if Ae is not his boyfriend he might consider courting this fluff ball. 'Tin!!!! You are so annoying! Grrrrr!'

(A:N/ I love this bitchy Pete. Lol. And hold up Pete! You courting Can and topping him? Nahhhh. Not in this world 😂)

"Can is looking for a job and will be coming in Hamigua's this Monday. He's a chef and he'll be cooking his dishes." Tin informed Cheng.

"Really? Can I come? I want to taste your cooking!" She asked Can and Tin excitedly. Shifting her gaze at them back and forth.

Can didn't know what to answer and just nodded his head and smiled. Besides, he doesn't have a choice does he? She is Tin's girlfriend and she have the rights to be there.

"Great!" She giggled.

'Ugh. So noisy!' Pete thought.

"So Can, what type of cuisine will you prepare?" Ae asked.

"Mmm. At first I decided that I'll be cooking French cuisine but then I changed my mind. It is much better to cook our very own food. Plus I miss cooking Thai foods especially tom yum and pad thai." Can answered.

"Wow! I'm already excited for Monday! I'll bet, your dishes are all superb!" Techno said while grinning from ear to ear, mind already wandering to the world where Can's food are all served with perfect plating.

"Really? Then, let's see what you've got this Monday. Hamigua's is one of the most prestigious hotel in the city and I really hope that you'll not disappoint us." Cheng said while smirking.

Can and the others except Pete and Tin was baffled with the sudden change in the attitude. They thought, she was somewhat kind because she's all smiley since she arrived but then they thought wrong. Seems like this woman is a bitch hiding behind this beautiful face.

'Hah. I though so. Two-faced btch' Pete.

If the Can now was the Can years ago, he may just tell some childish retorts on what she said. But the Can now, was the professional Can. And he doesn't like being criticized especially in his line of work. That's why he just leaned back on his seat and crossed his arms on his chest, one corner of his lips lifted.

"Well then, let's see." Can stared at her with cold eyes. And Cheng just shrugged her shoulders.

Techno on the other side are clenching his fist and his hands are itching to reach for that girl's hair and pull the life out of her. Same goes with Ae. If looks could kill, Cheng and Tin might be dead by now.

Tin's face is unreadable. You can't tell if he's siding with the woman or what. He's just sitting there and quietly observing Can. And this is what Type noticed.

'What are you planning to do Tin?' Type thought...
