"who?"

I pause just outside the door and frown to nothing in particular.

I wonder if this was the right decision as the name plaque "Bang Si-Hyuk" bores into my brain, exposing all my inadequacies.

"Hello? Is someone there?" a deep voice slips from under the door and knocks around my head.

With a deep breath, I throw on a smile and open the door, "Hi I'm Lin Noa, the new production director."

Thin rimmed glasses sit on the tip of his nose and threaten to slip off as he stares at me, "Bang, nice to meet you. Take a seat."

I suddenly feel overdressed and underprepared when I cross the threshold of his office, "I'm so grateful to be hired under your wing. I have heard amazing things about you, Bang-shi."

He smiles, a warm and genuine one, and accepts my bow, gesturing to the seat across from him. "I heard similar things about you Noa. I'm sure the team will love you. You are replacing our dear Jin Woo. He was the head director of the cast and show before he was given paternity leave."

I nod, already aware of these conditions, "Will I meet here everyday?"

"No, no. The film crew in particular often meet at the crew members house, bright and early when the first transport takes place."

The rest of our conversation reviews my position and requirements as well as my contract to work with Big Hit for the next four years. I give a brief introduction of my history explaining that I am a new graduate with a Business Administration degree who recently moved to Seoul after living in the US with my mother. He asks a bit about my family history which I drily reply that my family here is rural and small while my mother is a manager of a store in the US. I explain to him that Korean is my second language so to forgive me for any bluntness and request for him to explain to others the same message.

An hour and a half later I am in a company car with him on my way to meet the group I will be taking over.

"The boys are the least of your worries. They're extremely respectful; they can be a bit rowdy though," Bang-shi tells me, tapping absently at his phone.

"What band am I monitoring?"

"Hm," he hums. "They did not tell you?"

"No, they didn't."

"BTS."

I stare at Bang-shi in shock and amazement. "Ah."

The rest of the ride is silent which allows me to try to fix my starstruck state. I knew I would be over one of the upcoming groups, but not BTS.

I would be managing one of the biggest K-Pop bands in the world.

At only 24 years old.

The car comes to an abrupt stop and I step out with the aid of Bang-shi and the driver. We approach the house and he knocks for us, foot tapping with slight impatience.

The door opens after a few moments and Tae-hyung does a bow, "Bang! How are you?"

Bang-shi chuckles, stepping forward, "Well. Meet your new director, Lin Noa."

Tae offers me a bow which I return, "Nice to meet you Noa noona."

I follow after Bang-shi, shuffling out of my kitten heels by the doorway, and shimmying my skirt back down to its proper length. We make a right at the end of the hall and enter the kitchen where Jeongguk and Namjoon sit, munching on chips.

"Boys, this is L--"

I step forward and bow at them, "Lin Noa. Pleasure to meet you."

Jeongguk stands and wipes his hands onto his shirt, returning the bow while Namjoon offers me his clean hand to shake.
