As my stomach growled from barely eating, the computer started to power itself up. The soft hum of the motor made the silent office have some small background noise. My hand immediately went to my stomach, hoping it stops the pain. Turning the monitor on, it shines brightly in my face.
Ding!
Looking at my phone, a notification popped up. Tapping the screen, I unlocked my phone and looked at the text message.
Sexy Stephen - Hey Y/N! How's your day going?
The pain in my stomach was instantly replaced with happiness. My fingers tapped a quick reply and sent it.
Y/N - I've only been up for a couple hours, so pretty decent. Thanks for asking.
The log-in screen appeared on my desktop, so it asked for my password. My fingers danced along the keyboard and typed in the password needed. Hitting enter, the computer used some coding to allow me access to all of my work. As each app loaded in, notifications started appearing on the screen. Some were from chat rooms on SDR, work notifications, and emails. Nothing too important.
Sexy Stephen - You know, when someone asks you how your day is, then that usually means you ask the same once you answer. Just in case you didn't know how to communicate correctly.
The screen lights up. Seeing the message made my blood slightly boil. Rolling my eyes, another message came in.
Danny Boy - Good morning! I hope you slept well! And for the record, Stephen didn't kill me. He only wants to act tough when it comes to you ;)
What? Excuse me, but we're talking about an awkward girl who somehow stumbled upon some YouTubers she watches regularly. Why would he ever "act tough" for me? There's no real reason to explain that.
Y/N - Yeah, right.
Danny Boy - It's true!
Y/N - It's not, but whatever floats your boat, Daniel.
Going back to my conversation with Stephen, that's when I noticed he was left on read. Quickly typing a reply, my eyes dart to the computer screen. My hand goes to the mouse and move it so it opens up the document with the proposal. Each page loads in decently fast, so that led me to scrolling down until it left me at where I left off yesterday.
Y/N - Okay, Stephen, how has your day been?
"Hm... how should this be finished?" Staring at the screen, no ideas came to mind. It was like it was taunting me, pressuring me to try to put something down. Sighing, putting down anything would be better than staring at the screen. After reading over the last sentence written—which was the only sentence written yesterday—letters formed into words which created professional sentences. It was a slow process, but soon a slight groove came over me and it became easier to write down the conclusion. My phone kept buzzing on the desk, but I ignored it.
Before I know it, the proposal was completed. Pressing the period button, it was like a weight was lifted off of my shoulders. Another buzz from my phone made my hand reach for it, turning it over so the screen lights up. The most recent notifications were from the group chat. It seems like all three guys were up.
Hosuh - We've already spammed Y/N enough from last night. Are we really gonna spam her again?
Danny Boy - She'll probably want to know what we're talking about.
Sexy Stephen - Will she though?
Danny Boy - I mean, maybe?
Sexy Stephen - Are you assuming what she wants to know?
