Stephen's P.O.V
After hitting the end call button, my body flops onto the bed. The evil grin that was plastered on my face soon disappeared. My eyes stared at the smooth, white ceiling, going from the fan to the corner and back again. There was a moment of silence after the call ended. Hosuh didn't say anything and Daniel didn't make any comments. Sadly, that moment didn't last for long because Dan landed on me with his chest.
A groan gets pushed through my mouth and a coughing fit comes right after. He starts laughing from my reaction and once I'm able to breathe, I sit up and push him off. My head starts to pound and my hand goes straight for my temple. Pushing the palm against it made the pounding go away a little. Not a lot, but it's better than nothing.
Last night, when Dan was making some comments about my emotions, I rushed down the hall to get to his room. The door was wide open—which is not a good thing to do when I'm around—and he was looking away. My legs never ran that fast before as they sprung me up and on top of him. As my hands tried to reach his face to slap him, Daniel was texting the group with his arms blocking my way.
Once he sent what he wanted to send them, he placed his phone down and continued to duck behind his pillow. Then, without me noticing, Dan grabs an object that was definitely not a pillow and chucked it at me. It hit me square on the side of the head. My body collapsed onto the floor as the pain shot through my entire body. One of my hands held the area where the object hit while the other one tried to grab it. The room was dark, making it hard to see much. The light from outside didn't help a lot, either.
My hand felt something that was solid and I pulled it towards me. Giving it a closer inspection, it seemed to be a case for games. Groaning, my body struggles to move. In the end, I managed to stand up. Looking at Dan, my eyes narrowed. "You don't know how I feel, Daniel." With that, my feet moved towards the door and I left for the night.
Keeping my hand on my temple, my eyes go directly towards Dan. He's staring up at me with gleaming eyes. "What," my eyebrow raised at the suspicious look he was giving. His eyes weren't moving from me and it felt kind of awkward. Moving back a bit, my eyes rolled. "Ugh, whatever."
"You like her." Daniel finally says.
My heart dropped to my stomach.
Me? Like her?
We JUST met! I mean, yeah, she's nice and funny and gets my jokes, but just because I enjoy her company doesn't mean I want to marry her.
After blinking a couple of times, my response was, "What?"
"You like her," Daniel repeats his statement. "Admit it."
Looking at Hosuh, my face contorts into a confused and in disbelief expression. All he does is shrug his shoulders. Turning back towards Dan, my hand lowered from my head and leaned my arm on the headboard. "You are actually dumb. This isn't some Romeo and Juliet shit; this is real life."
He stands up and sits on the edge of his bed. "Come on. You've never shown this much compassion to someone you barely knew. Right, Hosuh?" He looked at Hosuh with confidence, almost like he knew that he was right.
Except he wasn't.
Yes, she's pretty.
Yes, she's hilarious.
