"Have you seen Eve or Justin?" Zach immediately asks when Bryce opens the door, Bryce giving him a questioning look in response. "Yeah, actually they're both here, chilling in the pool house." He leads them to the back door that leads to the pool house, continuing "they're both stoned off their gourd. Oh and it's gotten pretty loud in there a couple of times by the way, might want to check that out." Zach and Marcus give him a curious look, wondering what he meant by that.

"How long have they been here?" Marcus asks. "Justin since last night, Evelyn since this morning, I believe." He responds with a shrug. Zach moves in between the guys, walking quickly towards the pool house to immediately see what's been going on with his ex-girlfriend and what Bryce was talking about.

"Bro first she breaks up with him out of the blue, and is now getting closer to Justin. What's going on with them?" Bryce asks Marcus as they watch Zach, referring to his confusing relationship. "Who the fuck knows?" Marcus shrugs, walking after Zach to the pool house.

The guys open the door, immediately taking in the messy room. They look on the couch in front of them and see Justin sitting up with a controller in his hands, and Evelyn laying her head on top of a pillow that's placed on Justin's lap, while also playing the video game. Zach tries to contain his jealousy, speaking calmly to Justin first.

"Yo man, you okay?" "Fuck you, am I okay. What are you my bitch now?" Justin replies, causing Evelyn to laugh and Zach to give her a dirty look. "What have you guys been doing? Why was Bryce saying you guys been suspiciously loud?

Justin and Evelyn lock eyes, trying to hold in their laughter.

"We're playing video games, you know Evie is competitive." He smirks at her, making her let out a snicker. She realizes she feels a breeze, glancing back to where the boys stood, and seeing that they still left the door open. "Close the freakin door." She says with attitude towards Zach, but looks at Marcus giving him a small smile and speaking to him in a nicer tone. "Hi Marcus."

"Sup Eve, oh and hey, Jessica's looking for you. She looks bad." "She has for a while." Evelyn takes her hand off the controller to give Justin a light smack to his chest along with a dirty look, reminding him that, despite what she had with Justin, she was still friends with her and wouldn't let him talk bad about her. "You gonna talk to her?" Zach asks. "And say what?" Justin responds with sarcasm and confusion. "Tell her to get her shit together. She's acting like a nut job and drawing attention to herself." Marcus says in an obvious tone. "And you." Zach adds in. "Not me. I ain't there." Justin responds with a shrug.

"You guys are acting like everyone else is acting normal. You know it doesn't matter how normal you guys act right. Clay has the tapes and everyone's fucked. At least Justin's smart enough to lay low and wait it out. Jess will understand." Evelyn tells the guys, putting the controller down and getting up, walking over to the fridge to grab a beer.

The guys watch her movements, Zach staring at her annoyed, before walking over to her. "What the fuck are you doing here anyway? First you don't show up to pep rally and embarrass the cheer team and me, then I find you high and laying with Justin? What the fuck is going on Evie?"

Evelyn laughs, amused at Zach's worried expression as she takes a sip of her beer. "Embarrass you? I, embarrassed you? You know what, that's actually funny, you know because when you were riding the Hannah Baker train along with your stupid friends, while in a relationship might I add, you didn't give a damn about embarrassing me. And it's funny because if it wasn't for Hannah making those tapes, I probably would've never known what type of guy I was really dating. So if you think I give a fuck about embarrassing you, Dempsey, I don't. Fuck you, fuck Hannah, fuck Sheri and fuck that team." She pushes past him, grabbing her shoes and varsity jacket, muttering a bye to Justin and Marcus before leaving, making sure the door slammed on her way out.
