Evelyn and Justin couldn't even get through a round of sex without Justin seeming distracted and stopping right in the middle, making Evelyn sit up worried since he's never done it before.
"What? Do I not do it for you anymore?" Evelyn asks, half joking. "That's not it." "Then what? You don't think I'm pretty anymore?" Evelyn asks, this time a little more serious as she begins to cover up her bare chest, feeling a little insecure now. Justin quickly realizes what she said, grabbing onto the blanket and slowly pulling it down. "What? No, Evie. You're the most beautiful girl I've ever laid my eyes on, it's just.."
"It's just what?" She asks, now crossing her arms across her chest as she tilts her head to the side. "What was that thing that you said to Zach, when we were leaving the gym? Why did you say you're done now and what did you guys talk about the other night? And what happened when you saw him?"
She sighs, throwing her head back, knowing she'd have to fabricate some things and not tell everything so he doesn't get angry. "Baby.. nothing happened. We were just talking about.. everything, I guess. We were talking about us, Hannah, whether she lied about his tape and what they 'had', and I don't know. He seemed pretty convincing and I just started to miss him, and miss being with him. But he's different now. This Zach that feels sorry for and cares a lot for Hannah fucking Baker is a Zach I don't know."
"Not gonna lie, I was really jealous.. of Clay complimenting you, you sitting so close to Zach, defending him. I don't know, it really pissed me off." Justin tries to laugh it off, but Evelyn actually becomes worried, because at some times she becomes jealous of him and Jessica.
They had always had a relationship where it was just sex, no feelings and nothing serious. But now it seemed like it was changing into something more.
"Honestly, when it comes to Jessica I get jealous too." "Really?" He continues to laugh, and she lightly smiles, nodding her head in embarrassment before becoming serious.
"J, what's happening to us? We never cared this much or got mad before, so what the hell is going on?" Justin gives her a light smile, putting a hand on her neck and rubbing her cheek with his thumb. "I don't know, baby. But it'll all be fine, okay? After we get through all this tapes bullshit, we can focus on us, and what we're doing. But just know, no matter what happens, I won't ever hurt you, I promise."
Evelyn nods her head, giving him a kiss and pushing him slightly backwards on her bed, now laying on his chest as she traces his chest tattoos.
"No no, so now she's trying to punish me by giving all of my stunts to this 80-pound freshman, and yours to some random chick." Jessica laughs as she updates Evelyn with what is going on with the cheer team she used to love so much. Evelyn wished things could be different, that she could feel like a normal teenager again and enjoy simple things like being captain of the cheer team. But as long as Sheri was still on it, there was no way in hell Evelyn would be too.
"Go ahead. You really think that she can lift Melanie Opstad's fat ass into pyramid formation? I mean, come on!" Evelyn laughs loudly as Jessica continues also. "Thank you! It's almost impossible for me because she's so fat. Like really, good luck!" The girls continue to laugh together as they make fun of the poor girl, as Bryce and Justin approach them.
"Your coach is such a bitch." Bryce laughs as he joins the conversation. "Yeah, tell me about it. She really thinks she can replace me that easily, with some random freshman loser, like flying is so easy. I'd love to see that bitch 'break a leg'." Everyone laughs at Evelyn's lame joke, as Jessica pulls a water bottle out of her bag.
"Anybody down for a little pick-me-up?" She asks, drinking from it and making a face. Evelyn grabs it next, at this point used to being a borderline alcoholic and when she drinks she makes little to no reaction to the burn.
