Evelyn steps into her room, throwing her pajamas onto the bed as soon as she walks through the door, now dressed her in school clothes. She notices a figure sitting in a chair in the corner of her room, making her jump.

"What the hell, Justin?" "I'm sorry, I-I needed to see you."

"I'm gonna scream." Evelyn threatens, knowing she really won't but just wanting him to leave. "I texted and I called." "I'm gonna call the police."

"Eve, please. What did I do? What did I do that was so bad that you hate me this much?" "Are you joking?" She asks, now walking towards him. "Hm, let's see, you've been super bipolar lately, sometimes you seem totally into me, and other days you seem like you want nothing to do with me, then you make out with your fucking ex girlfriend, and then suddenly tell me you love me in front of everyone knowing this was supposed to be kept secret as we figured shit out."

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry I can't keep my feelings for you hidden anymore-" "What the fuck did you think would happen after doing that? Everything would be fine? Jess and Zach would accept us? We'd go about our lives. You and I would get married and live happily ever after?"

"That's what I wanted, was for us to.. to be together. Forever."

"You told Jess about what Bryce did that night.. why did you do that?" "She had to know, Eve." "No. I'd rather her not know so she could go on normally with her life. Now she has to live with that, knowing he did that to her, and that you let him." "No, I-I was drunk. And I was scared."

Evelyn scoffs, shaking her head as she now looks for her shoes and backpack.

"I'm sorry, I'm not trying to make excuses, it's just that.. Every time I was thrown out, when my mom was fucked up, one of her boyfriends was fucking with me.. he was there for me. When I had no money, when I was starving, his folks bought me shit for school. Okay, when my mom was busted for possession, he got his dad to bail her out."

Justin tries to continue on, but Evelyn cuts him off. "Justin. Justin! I get it okay. It's loyalty. You have loyalty to him and I get that, because I have the same. He's done a lot of shit for me and you know what? I'd never rat him out like that. Ever." "What? What about what he fucking did to Jessica-" "Fuck Jessica. You know what, why are you here? Since you care so much, you should be checking on her, not me." Justin doesn't respond, staring at her sadly as tears roll down his cheeks.

The doorbell rings, and Evelyn assume it's Montgomery, coming over to give her a ride to school. She walks passed Justin to her door, but Justin reaches for her, failing in being able to grab onto her hand as she notices and pulls away quickly. "Eve." "No. I'm gonna go get that, and you're gonna go back out the window."

At the doorway stood a deputy, holding onto a folder. Inside the folder was a subpoena. Hannah's mom had been going through her daughter's things, reminiscing about her, and found a paper full of names. Some crossed out, and other circled, the one's being on the tapes. Although Evelyn's name wasn't circled nor crossed out, Hannah's mom knew who Evelyn was, the troublemaker Atkins, and decided she should be sent one too to see what she may have done to her daughter while alive that may have caused her to take her own life.

At school, Evelyn walked through the hallways, feeling a little anxious. Although she wasn't named a reason on the tapes, she always got dragged into the drama involving it. She could see Marcus and Courtney walking together, obvious to her also stressing about the subpoenas.

"It has to be Clay. How else did they get our names?" Courtney asks Marcus. "He had to give them the tapes."

"We don't know that, it could've been Hannah's phone, her texts." "We need to make a plan." Courtney says, unlocking her phone. Evelyn comes forward, placing a hand over Courtney's phone, pushing it down. "You guys need to stop texting. Seriously, if they get your text records you guys are done." "Oh my God, I didn't even think about that." "Obviously." Evelyn rolls her eyes. "Spread the word, we all need to meet in person." Marcus tells them.
