Dr.Salt (I just found out Hamilton's last name is Salt. For someone who was called Meat for the majority of their life, this news was oddly predictable.) says that I will be put into my own world. There are people who will have control over this "world".
It's like a maze.
They have the overview, and I'm the mouse trying to get to the end.
Hamilton says that there are like different doors that I'll have to go through, each door leads to a different world.

I look around the room.
I see the crazy guy with the needle.
He's inside a cell with a glass wall, strapped to a chair.
Screaming.
I feel a shiver run through my back and look away.
"Come on now." Hamilton says.
He opens yet another door by waving his wrist in front of a scanner and it opens up.
I see Dr. Leslie Lane talking to another one of her assistants.

"Good morning!"She smiles as he walks away.

"Morning,"Hamilton says.
She turns to me.
"Hi." I mumble, crossing my arms.
"Hi to you too Mr. Woods." She chuckles.
She spins around and grabs a cup.
"Drink this,"She says, holding it out to me.
"It's the vaccine."
I grab the cup with a quivering hand. It's a clear liquid that smells like rotting fish.
Ugh.
She must see the look on my face because she says "Don't worry, it's tasteless."
I find that very hard to believe.
I put it up to my lips and drink some, sure enough, I don't taste a thing.
"Okay,"says Hamilton. "Shall we be on our way?"
"Yes. That would be lovely."Dr. Leslie says.
Lovely, I think.
Hm.
It's not so lovely for me. I feel a sudden rush of energy.
"Yes! That would be lovely."I say unexpectedly.
"Absolutely glorious!" I exclaim.
"Wow Woods. Sure are hyped aren't you?"Says Hamilton, raising his eyebrows.
"Actually, it's just one of the side effects of the drink."Says Dr. Leslie.
Fantastic, I think.
"Follow me, now."She says. We glide through the halls and make a sudden turn. I look straight ahead and see miles of hallway. Doors on each side. Everything is white-it would be a crime to spill a drop of color on anything in here.
"Choose a door Taylor."Hamilton says.I look around, all of them are labeled:
1A, 2B, 3C...
I walk until I find the door labeled 7G.
Number 7.
On the left side of the hallway.
"This one,"says Doctor Leslie, coming up to me. "Is different." "Different?"I ask, turning around to see her face awfully close to mine. "Yes."she whispers. "Strange things happen behind this door"
"What about the others?"I ask. "They're all happy"she answers like it was obvious.
"Happy?"I repeat.
"Yes."she says taking a step closer to me.
"Happy."She says and I can feel the warmth of her breath spread across my nose and it gives me tingles.
"This door"she says, now putting her head above my shoulder.
"Is evil. Bad things happen behind this door."
"Oh."I say taking a step back.
"Oh my gosh!"I scream.
Her eyes are fiery red.
"What!"she exclaims.
"Is there something wrong?"
"No-No everything's fine."I say.
"Just fine"
"Oh."she says placing her hand to her chest.
"You scared me there Woods."she laughs.
"You can go after this one thing."she says. I watch her pull something out of her pocket.
"It's a tracker."I see a small, black round watch in her hand. She grabs my wrist.
"This is steel so it won't come off."she says. She puts the watch on my wrist. She pushes me to the door.
"Now, your goal is to find O.F.
O.F is a person we put somewhere in any of these doors-,"She pauses to move her hand back in forth of the long hallway. "-our goal is to see how you will act under the influence of the drink."she says.
I thought it was a vaccine! Not a drug! I think.
"So really, O.F could be in any of these doors, you've just chosen to start in this one-number 7."She continues.
"O.F will show you how to get out of the doors if you find her in time. You have two years to complete this, or you'll die" "WHAT?"I scream.
"Die!?".
"Yes.Die."she says.
"Hold up! Couldn't you have chosen someone else who volunteered to do this? I never wanted to be your stupid test dummy! And no one ever mentioned this taking two years! Much less that I might die in the process!"I exclaim. My heart starts pounding, faster and faster with every second.
"Well, clocks a ticking."she says, tapping her watch.
"What do you mean clocks a ticking?"I say.
"Your two years begins now."She lowers her head and her voice gets much, much deeper. It almost sounds fake.
"Go"
