7 am chaos in a small town household was everything but odd.
Nancy, a woman of her late 40s went from one room to another, making sure everyone got to there destination on time.
"Kayley!" She called out admist packing 4 lunch boxes. "Kayley come down here you're going to get late honey!" But no one replied to her calls. She sighed and left the kitchen to go upstairs.
"Kay you need to hurry up." She said as she rushed up the stairs. As Nancy opened the door of her daughter's bedroom, her hand flung up to her mouth, gasped in utter shock. She fell to her knees, screaming at the top of her lungs.A tall girl of 17 years laid on the bed. An expression so serene, if it weren't for the blood pooled on the bed and carpet floor, she looked fast asleep. Her wavy black her was tucked behind her head, her tan skin, now looked pale.
A man of his late 40s rushed into the room and behind him a younger man dressed in a fine suit followed. Ryan, Kay's father and Alex her 25 year old brother stood there in the doorway.
Ryan bent down besides his wife, clutching her in his arms. Her sobbing filled the air of the house. Alex pushed past them to his sister. Little memories of them flashed in his eyes. Tears filling his eyes, he crouched next to her. He took her phone from her loosely clutched hand. Shakily he took her phone from her clutch. Her lockscreen, a bright white background and a blood red rose in the dead centre. He stumbled away from the bed and went to his room to call an ambulance.Sirens blared in the quiet neighborhood. Kayley's body rushed out to the hospital. Time of death already noted. Nancy couldn't come to move herself from Kayley's room. It smelt like blood and her floral perfume. Sunlight seeped through her grey curtains. Everything was the same. But it wasn't.
