I left the boundaries of the castle, it slowly disappearing behind me with every step I took. I came across a clearing in the woods to see smoke not too far from my current position. My stomach growling, I think to myself, I guess I can go for a bite. I begin running towards the fire, not knowing who might be waiting for me or what might be waiting for me more importantly. A branch hits me in face, leaving a deep cut, my skin already starts to heal over the wound. I decide to get to the destination first before I peel off the scar. 5 meters till arrival, my heart begins to pound in my chest. I feel like it is about to burst, it's beating so fast it feels like I'm being chased, even thou I'm just running to soothe my hunger. 3 meters, my starvation growing greater, I can eat anything! I yell in my head, in fact I might as well just transform and eat whatever is at the fire. No that life is in the past, I'm better than that. I make it to the fire and vanish. There was no fire in the first place. It was just a girl. I stay vanished and slowly approach. Her house was made of fire just like her, I entered behind her. For a house made of fire it was really chill. Not saying it was cold, I mean it was like really cool, so many objects in here. I'm surprised they didn't melt due to the heat, I mean my magic shielded me but I wonder what shielded the furniture and such. She begins to change so I decide I should alert her of my presence before things go any further.

"Hi! Uh excuse me do you have any food?" I say with a smile on my face.

"What the hell you creep!!" She covers herself with a towel blushing.

"Sorry it's just I got really hungry and you began to change and I didn't want things to get awkward!" I say covering my eyes with my hands.

"Well I appreciate you not staring at me without any clothes on, but that doesn't explain you breaking into my house!" She says still under her towel.

"I didn't necessarily break in my dear, I followed you in....." I say hands still over my eyes .

"You followed me?!" Her eyes begin to turn to flames.

"No no no! It's not what you think! I was hungry and I saw a fire and thought there was food cooking and apparently it was just a fire elemental and ye?" I say nervously.

"Why are boys so complicating!?" She said slumping to the floor seeming like she was about to burst into tears.

"Bad experiences?" I say sitting next to her.

"Don't get any closer! I don't want to hurt you..." she yells and backs away.

"Chill. I'm like you in a way." I put out my hand and black fire burns in it.

She remains quite but amazed. She puts her hand over the black fire extinguishing it. She touches my hand and seems shocked on how I didn't flinch in pain.

"I grew up in hell for half my life ,fire doesn't bother me." I smile and laugh.

"I grew up being made of fire." She smiles and blushes lightly.

"So about that food...?" I laugh my stomach growling.

We go over to the kitchen and there isn't much "edible" food choices. I mean to a fire elemental coal, wood, pretty much anything flammable will suffice ,but not to a hungry shadow demon like myself. I go out into the forest to look for some meat. I spot a chicken not too far from her house. I turn my shadow into a bow and quiver, shot lined up, right between the eyes. I bring the dead animal back to her house and slow cook it.

"So I never formally introduced myself. Drake Xian, ruler of the shadow realm." I say smiling and shaking her hand.

"Flame Princes, aka FP, princess of the flame kingdom." She said shaking my hand.
