Chapter 3 - Tris

My first day of high school came around and I got dresses in my usual black jeans, black Rolling Stones t-shirt and black studded converse. I ran downstairs to start making the breakfast for dad and Caleb but it found them already sitting there eating toast.

"Beatrice. Come join us." What was up with my dad. He made his own breakfast and wanted me to join him.

"Um OK. Whats up."

"Now today both you and Caleb are starting high school. I have registered Caleb as Caleb Prior and you are Six just like your old school. No one will have to know that your my daughter so I won't be ashamed by you. I will take Caleb to school in the car but you will have to walk and unless you want to be in detention on the first day of school I suggest you run along a and be quick about it."

And that was all my dad said. He turned round and ignored me so I grabbed a spare piece of toast and ran of to school.

"Six"

I heard Christina shout from across the playground. All of my friends were with her too. Lynn, Marlene, Shauna, Will, Zeke and Uriah. My usual badass group. Everyone feared us in middle school and now anyone else at this school who didn't know us will. We, well mostly I ,strike fear into their heart and they dare not get on the wrong side of me. I've been suspended from school many times and I'm always in detention but I don't care. As long as no one knows that I'm the daughter of the deputy head I'll be fine. Only five people know that secret. My father, Caleb, myself, Christina and her mother.

Christina and I had been best buddies since kindergarten and whenever my dad beat me up so bad i would wait until he was gone and then call Christina and her mum would come pick he up and nurse my injuries. They were like my family. She understood me.

" So the famous six and her buddies back together again for summer" Uriah remarked which made us all laugh.

" Uriah your such a pansycake" Zeke said. Zeke and Uriah were brothers only 9 months apart much like me and Caleb.

"So what's the gossip" squealed Christina. This was the annoying part about Christina.

"Well I have something to announce" Shauna said. " Zeke and I are officialy dating.

" Aaaaahhhhhh"

"Christina would you shut your trap" shouted Lynn.

"No I will not Lynn. Two of our best friends are officially going out together and none of you are bothered. Uuugggghhh I can't believe you all. "

"Uuummmm what time does class start?"

"Will your such an erudite. Your heads always in a book" replied Zeke.

"Oooohhhh look at zeekey using big words like erudite. Maybe he should be put into honors class. "

We all laughed at that.

"I agree with Will. Let's head in. I'm not sure I want to get detention on my first day of high school. " I said. And with that we went in.
