Sal and I made plans to see each other again and waiting for the day to come felt like the longest wait ever. It was finally Tuesday morning and I went to brush my teeth and change. My parents were at work and they both come home in the evening. As I was making myself breakfast, I remember to call Sal again.

"Hi, I'm home alone. You can pick me up now," I told him.

"Cool. I'll be on my way."

"Alright, see ya." I was anxious to see Sal. He only lived about 40 minutes away, which wasn't too far away, but it wasn't close either.

I stared at the wall blankly, not knowing what to think about anymore. Time passed and I finally heard him beep his car. I got out, locked the door, and came in. He looked to see if no one was around to kiss me. I loved when he kissed me. I never felt the way I did with my past boyfriends like I do with Sal. It was something about him.

He started to drive. "So when will your parents be home?," he asked.

"Later in the afternoon. Around 6 and 7 usually." I looked at the time on the dashboard. 12:42pm.

"Great. We have a couple hours together," he looked at me and winked. "I'll get you home by 4." He put his hand on my thigh and it sent electricity through my body.

Throughout the whole car ride, we were unsure of what to say to each other. He occasionally looked at me to see if I felt okay and he'd ask questions about me now and then. Most of the drive, we just looked ahead of us and listened to the radio. We got to his house and he gestured I go in first. His hand was on my waist as we went up his front steps. We took our shoes off and I was looking around the place, trying to process the fact that I was in Sal Vulcano's home.

"Take a seat. I'll get you something to drink. What do you like?"

"Water."

He grabbed a water bottle and a beer from the fridge. He handed the water to me and took a sip of his beer once he sat down across from me. He looked at me for a couple of seconds.

"You know, you don't talk that much."

I looked up at him, "I really don't know what to say. I'm still surprised this is happening."

"Why are you surprised?"

"Because I have always fantasized about being with you, but I knew it would never happen. Or at least I thought."

"Aw," he giggled. "That's cute." He got up and sat down next to me. He placed his warm hand on my cheek, the other on my thigh. He started to kiss me. He pulled away and I looked at him with confusion.

"I think we should just talk instead. Tell me about yourself."

"Okay.. Where do I start?"

"Are you sure you're comfortable?" He was quick to ask.

"I really don't know. I love this, but-"

"But what? Please, if you aren't comfortable, tell me and I'll bring you home." He got up from the couch and walked to the window.

"I am comfortable with this. I just don't understand how you can do this." I got up and started walking towards Sal.

He shook his head, "There's just this thing about you that I-," he didn't finish his sentence. "Nevermind. I don't know what I'm doing." I took his hand and looked at him. After a couple of minutes, I noticed his eyes were full of water. He didn't talk for a minute. "I had a wife." He looked down and pursed his lips. My jaw dropped and eyes widened because no fans knew this. "I married her when I was 28."
