My alarm went off to remind me to take my medicine. I grabbed my bag and took out a bag full of drugs.

"Hey. Look up for a second," Sal said.

Boston/Logan Airport 1 mi

I jumped. "Ahhh, I'm so excited!" I popped each pill in my mouth, smiling and appreciating the fact that these are keeping me alive right now. We drove under the Zakim Bridge and the purple lights lit up on the white cables. TD GARDEN was lit up green on the stadium, a Bruins advertisement next to the logo. The stars and a half moon covered the dark sky. We were under a tunnel and the lights above flew by. I'm on a journey, an adventure, with the love of my life.

I put my bag down and my head was glued to the window. I couldn't stop staring at the city, amazed at how historically beautiful it is. Sal drove into a parking garage, but went to the top level. Once he parked, we got out of the car and walked towards the edge of the structure. The skyscrapers' windows lit up the city, taxi cabs and business cars drove through the streets, visitors touring the area.

"It's such a beautiful sight," I said in shock.

"It is, isn't it?"

"Wait, Sal, I wanna do something." I turned to him and my face showed him I had an idea. "Every city that we visit, let's take a picture with the city behind us."

He smiled and nodded. "Let's do it." I grabbed my Polaroid out of his camera and set the timer to 7 seconds with the flash on. I put the camera on top of his car and Sal and I stood in front of the camera, the skyline behind us. He suddenly turned my face to his and kissed me for the 5 seconds remaining. Flash. Sal kept his lips on mine for another 3 seconds.

During those few seconds, it felt as if we were the only two people on this world. All the noise from the honking cars and chatty tourists went away. Silence. He took his lips off mine and just looked into my eyes. "That's a good idea," he said. I smiled at him and hugged him, my arms over his shoulders and around his neck, on the tip of my toes. His warm hand was rubbing my back, and we were swaying. We were in love, and nothing could change that.

We let go and I went over to grab the picture out of the camera. We were in focus and the city was a blur, but you could tell it was Boston. I went into Sal's car to grab the marker and labeled the photo: Boston 3/14/15. Sal came over to see the picture. "I want a copy of all of these."

I kissed him on the cheek. "Of course."

"Do you want to check into our hotel and then go out to eat?"

"That sounds nice," I grinned. We took our luggage out of the trunk and went down the garage's elevator. It took us 5 minutes to walk into the hotel and when we made it to the lobby, my heart started beating quickly. "I'm gonna go sit down on the couch," I told Sal, breathing quickly.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"Yeah, I just need my heart to relax a little." He nodded his head and went to check in. My hand was held up to my chest and he kept looking back at me with a worried expression his face.

He was wearing a plaid button up with black jeans. His hair was combed over to the side, his soft curls with a strand of hair left hanging over his forehead. He grabbed the hotel key cards and nodded his head to the worker.

"How are you feeling?"

"I'm better now. Sorry, my heart was beating fast, I got worried." I got up from the couch and grabbed my bags.
