"'Ce wakeup they're doing role call" my cell mate said. I woke up in my prison bed with my back hurting

These beds are uncomfortable like they are the absolute worst. Me and Honey my cell mate walked out of our cell for role call

It was 7 in the morning and that was the time they made everyone wakeup. All the other girls came out of there cells and made a straight line like we are supposed to do

We weren't allowed to talk or anything just stand and walk in line all the way to the yard

All of us rushed outside to the yard where the officers were waiting for us. It was cold since it was early in the morning

One by one they called our names

"Ceilia"

"Here"

"Dena"

"Here"

"Elyce"

"Here"

"Anna"

No answer

"ANNA"

"That's not my name" the officer walked towards her

"That's what it says on your birth certificate so that's what you will be called"

"Well I don't want to be called that"

"Excuse me mam do you want to get sent to the hole with your attitude"

"Fuck off"

"That's it" he grabbed her hands to try to cuff her but she was resisting

"Anna don't make this harder then it needs to be" he tried to go for her hands again but she still resisted

He had had enough with her so be tackled her to the ground sitting on her back cuffing her hands

She was still resisting so the officers came out and tazzed her

They carried her back inside taking her to the hole

Another officer came out and finished role call

"ALRIGHT LADIES GET TO WORK" the female officer pointed towards the door

This prison works like a work force sort of. We each have jobs in the prison, me and honey are janitors.

We just go around mopping the floors around the prison and bathrooms. How we get paid is free time hours in the yard or the tech room.

I did my usual thing I had been doing for three days now and went to the closet got the solution poured it in the mop bucket and got to mopping the floor

Me and honey started with the office floor of the officers and mopped

"You still mad" I was confused by her comment

"Mad at what"

"The fact you got sent to jail because of that girl" I didn't want to talk much about that so I kept it short

"Yea but there's nothing I can do now" she shrugged her shoulders. We mopped up and down the hallways

After 6 hours we mopped the whole prison. I just went back to my cell and took out one of the chapter books I got from the library

I heard a knock at my cell door "Elyce you got a visitor" an officer said to me

"Who is it"

"Come out and see" I got out of my bed and walked outside the door. There was another officer besides the one that was there

They put hand cuffs on my hands and feet and walked me to the visitation Centre. I sat at the empty table in the middle of the room where all the other visitors were

They hand cuffed me to the table so I couldn't move. The officers came back with my friend Elle

"I gotta tell you the gangs been missing you" I look at her with a tired face

"The gang wasn't for me I just did it for the money"

We met a couple years back when I joined the gang. I just sold drugs for money while she just slept around for it

I must say though it was good money we were making a couple thousand dollars a week

"Hey" she whispered "I got a plan for that girl"

"I'm all ears cause I want revenge"

"Why don't we jump that bitch" I sat up interested

"And" she looked at me with evil in her eyes

"We beat the shit out of her and take her shit and I have one more surprise"

"OK do it as soon a-"

"No Elyce we need to make her get comfortable so she won't see it coming"

"Oh I like this plan will I see it on the news" she smirked

"Yea"

The officers rang the bell "Alright visitation hours are over"

Elle got up and left with all the rest of the visitors. Can't wait to see the look on everyone's face when they see this
