A New Year

CherryWood High's new school year was starting today, in some unkown universe. This year there will be more students than ever because people have recently been becoming more acepting of blended schools. One of the newcomers to the school this year was Maharu, an over emotional vampire who is a new transfer student. She thinks she's destined to have two men fighting over her because Tiwlight taught every girl that they need men fighting over them to be half happy and half depressed.. Anyways to the story.

Maharu woke up thinking it was going to be liked everyday she had over the summer. Except it was a school day. She couldn't just stay in bed and drink Coke like she normally would. She was close to falling back to sleep when her mother pushed her out of her bed. Her mother told her to put on her burqa, so she could go to school. [Vampire men wear robes and women wear burqas when they go out in direct sunlight]. Marharu did her morning routine which consisted of showering, eating breakfeast, brushing teeth, then putting on her burqa and walking to school. Marharu left the house at 4:30 A.M.. Maharu was tired because she wasn't use to getting up so early, but she did notice that it was a beatiful day. There were yellow dandelions in the lawns of the houses on her block. The sun was shining brightly down on everything, yet it wasn't overly hot. It was one of those days that it felt good to be alive. Maharu kept walking down the sidewalk until she finally reached school in two minutes[Vampire Speed allowed her to do this]. She saw so many cute guys as she was walking in. She also saw some girls who she might befriend. The school itself was huge. All of the lockers were shapped differently. Each student got their own locker in the shape they choose. Maharu learned that this helps the students express their individuality. Marharu followed the signs that showed new students where to go. When she arrived at the greeting room, two older women were standing at the door handing out pieces of paper. One side said Humans and the other said monster. Maharu went to the one that said monster because she was a vampire[Duh]. Maharu was already getting board and just wanted to go home and watch Jenna Marbles. When she got to the old woman, the lady handed her a piece of paper. It asked things like what type of a monster are you and what shape do you want your locker to be. Maharu put Vampire and Heart. She wanted her locker to be in the shape of a heart because she's always in love with something or someone, and she wanted her locker to be the theme of her race. She found a seat next to a girl who looked strange to her. She had blonde hair, some very revealing clothes, and a lot of cleavage.The girl also seemed to have a devil's tail with a heart tip. Once Maharu sat down, the girl said "Hi my name's Cici, I'm a succubus. It's a divine pleasure to meet you." It was weird for Maharu to hear that kind of talk. She could already tell this school was going to be extremly weird. A good kind of weird. Maharu manged to get out a low pitched hi. She didn't want to be friends with the girl who would have the bad rep around school. Maharu sat through the boring lecture about rules and how to get around. She was half asleep when they dismissed the students to go to the lunch room. The lecture had lasted through first and second period. Maharu just went with the crowd who knew where they were going until she reached the lunch room.All they had for lunch were blood burgers and just regular hamburgers. Obviously Maharu got the blood burger. All lunches game with free water ,so everyone had water. Maharu sat at the table that seemed to have all the vampires at it. She was right in her asumption. There were a few human students there, but the majority of the students sitting at the table were vampires. Maharu exchanged small talk with some of the others sitting at the table. She met one person that she thought could easily become one of her good friends. The girl's name was Nicki. She had bleach blonde hair and was thin. she was also short and basically looked like she was twelve. This girl was really intelligent for someone who was only one hundred and fifteen. This just means that she's basically fifteen. She was able to do college level work, but said that she wanted to stay in the same grade as all her freinds. Maharu thought it must be nice to have longtime friends at this school. The open atmosphere in the lunch room was nice. Every table had it's own section of the lunch room. Each section was guarded by a red rope. The rope was a bit much, but it was super flashy and stylish. The bell rang for the students to go to third period. Maharu looked on her schedule and saw that her next class was spellcraft. Obviously the witches and warlocks were going to be the star students of class, but Maharu was going to try anyways. She walked up four flights of stairs before she got to the almost empty floor. Most of the doors were made of metal and were rusted. There was one that read, MRS.HITKLD'S CLASS OF WITCHCRAFT. Maharu wondered why the letters were so big until she saw the teacher. This teacher was old, like really old. She had glasses, but she seemed to be blind. Her hair was as white as newly fallen snow. Honestly how could this woman still be alive? Pure luck was most likely the reason for this. The woman asked everyone's name as they came in and told them where to sit.  Her voice was so soft it was basically like she wasn't even talking. Maharu went by the lady and found her seat. She was sitting between two cute guys. She hoped that they would both fall in love with her and evntually fight over her. The guys on her right had blonde hair and some toned muscles. The guy to her right had firery red hair with equal size muscles. Maharu tried to say hi to both of them, but she was so nervous that she kept choking before she could get the words to leave her mouth. The guys were talking to each other like they knew each other.  Maharu got out a quiet hi to the blonde guy. The blonde guy stopped talking to the red head to say hi back. Maharu asked him what his name was and he said "Ethan." Maharu slowly watched as the old lady who greeted them turned into a young teacher. She said that was morphing magic as the class clapped for her. Maharu could tell that this class was going to be fun. The teacher went over the boring stuff that she had to.Maharu just sat through the talk and listened to Why Don't You Get A Job? by The Offspring through earbuds connected to her Iphone 5. The bell rang and Maharu gathered her things and walked out of the room. She had to go all the way to the basement. This would suck going from the top floor to the bottom everday. Apparently the school had more than just one basement floor ,so Maharu had to go to floor B5. When Maharu got out of the elevator, she was greeted by a cold breeze. She shivered as her body adjusted to the coldness. Maharu guessed that heaters and warm air through vents were non exsistent down here. The old wooden floor creaked with every step she took. It was honestly kind of creepy. The walls and floors were made of old wood. This was probably from when the school use to be monsters only. The school was kept underground so that humans wouldn't discover it. Anyways, Maharu kept walkng down the creepy hall until she found a door that was marked CLASS OF MONSTERS. All monster were required to take monster class. The door said click the button to enter. When Maharu clicked the red button, the floor suddenly dropped and she was falling. It all happened so fast that when Maharu landed on a couch, her arm was still in the position it was when she pushed the button. Maharu couldn't see a thing because the room was pitch black. Suddenly the room lit up. Maharu could tell why the teacher didn't have the lights on all the time. It was almost like Maharu had died and gone to heaven because of how bright it was. Once her eyes adjusted to the light, Maharu saw a teacher wearing a tress that had a picture of all the different monster species. The dress was really cool looking because in the light every picture lit up with different colors. The ladies hair was black and she seemed very pale. Maharu didn't know how she could be pale if these lights were shining on her often. Maharu was thinking when she was suddenly hit by another student who pressed the button. Suddenly it was just a mssive dog pile of the class because they had all been standing at the door when that one kid pressed the button. The teacher dimmed the lights a normal brightness level and introduced herself. She said "My name is Ms. Uyid. Remember it well or you might not make it through this class." She let out a small laugh before telling everyone where to sit. The class seemed like it would be nice, but it might be a little crazy. Honestly what class at this school wasn't crazy. It was weird for Maharu not to see any humans around. This must be the one way that monsters are segregated from humans. Segregation would end completly, but the school says that both monster and humans need to have a unquie class. It actually helps though because it gives monster a break from humans and vice versa. Maharu came back to Earth to listen to the teacher who said, "Call me Mrs. U." Honestly Maharu didn't want to hear the stupid introduction stuff that she'd been hearing all day long. Maharu was good on introductions after the one she had just experienced considering that her life had flashed before her eyes. All she did was think about cute guys and reading some nice books when she got home. It sucked when Maharu realized that she wouldn't be able to do anything when she got home because her mom always had her do that stupidest of chores. Honestly chores were worthless. Why should her mother force her to do chores just because her mom is to lazy to do them? Maharu just ignored her thoughts and thought about how she would get a cute boy to fall madly in love with her. This was what she thought about most days because she has only had one boyrfriend in her entire life, which has been a really long time. Her father is one of those very overprotective types. He took her only boyfriend down to their basement in the house and told him that if he ever hurt her feelings that the boys head would end up at his parents door. This was when Maharu was only in fifth grade. She doesn't see her dad much because he's in the Vampire Blood selling industry. He travels around a lot selling blood to all the best vampire in every singel world and deminsion. He'd been to Hell a few times and said it was boring, but he managed to bring Maharu back a demon heart. Honestly at the time it seemed like a horrible gift, but Maharu eventually figured out what it meant and ended up loving the gift. When Maharu came back down to Earth, the teacher was in front of her calling her name. She shortly scolded her and gave her a dirty look like all the teachers did when they knew you weren't listening to them. Why should they have to hear this boring stuff all day. I mean by now they all know the basic rules of the school. All the teacher needed to do was give them the syllabus and start teaching them everything, so that they could get a head start on the year. No one really cared what the teacher was even saying, but the other students had enough respect for the teacher to at least look like they were listening to her even though she knew that none of them were listening. Maharu understood why the teacher had to give these instructions. It was just because the school's rules for the teachers on the first day was to go over the normal school procedure and act like a lifeless robot. Literally a lifeless robot saying "You have to ask before going anywhere in the school that you were no assigned to be at." It was really annoying to have to listen to things that everyone should already know. She just waited until she heard that loud sound of the bell ringing. It was their free period of just social time. Maharu got on the elevator with the rest of her class, so they could get back up to the ground level. When Maharu got out off of the elevator, she noticed that Ethan was there. She walked up to him, having more confidence then when she sat next to him, and joined the coversation he was having with his group of friends. She said hi and Ethan replied with "Hey nice to see you again." He put his hand out for a hand shake which Maharu glady returned the favor. Maharu noticed that Ethan was a completely normal human. She could also see the red head that she saw earlier. He walked up to her and told her that his name was Drafter. Maharu thought that was a weird name until she noticed that he was a fire giant because they have rock like skin. That explained why his hair was firey red. Fire giants could cotain their powers and transform at any time they felt like it. This made him a great quarterback for the school's football team. Maharu noticed that he was looking her over, so she tried to look the best she could. She quickly pulled her hair into a ponytail because she thought that she looked cute with a ponytail. She tried not to be to obvious. The rest of the time there Maharu just talked and got to know all the others in the group. The ones that she could remember were Caroline, Maddy, Jakcson, and Emily. The people she actually met and liked today were those people plus Ethan, Drafter, and Nicki
